If you were forced to change pic bases for Jael, who would you choose?

Sonya Deville, because in my head, Jael is tanned unlike KLR. Plus, Sonya has that cool cross tattoo on her ribs and I feel like Jael would totally own that. Another picbase I feel would suit her is Isla Dawn. If I chose her though, I'd have to age Jael down.

Who wins in a fight, Raven or Fake Raven (AKA Artemis)? 😛

Oof, tough one. Both are disciplined and skilled in combat sports. Both want to be the best. I'd say when it comes down to it though, Raven can be more vicious than Artemis. Just accept the fact that she wins at life because she's hella rich and has a hot husband 😀

What songs define Jael?

I actually have a whole playlist because I'm lame. Such highlights include: "Temple" by Tonight Alive, "I Did Something Bad" by Taylor Swift, "Fuck Em Only We Know" by BANKS, "Body of My Own" by Charli XCX, "Judas (Hurts Remix)" by Lady Gaga, and of course Madonna's "Like a Prayer"

What are Jael’s fears in life?
Her biggest fear would be straying too far away from her own path. She's a church girl by heart, so I like to think that if being a ruthless heel doesn't bring her the power and fame she desires, she'll start to question where she went wrong and would become paranoid about who she can trust. Out of character though, she has a huge fear of heights and that's exactly why she never really goes for any high-flying moves.

Where’s one place in the world you want to visit?

I always wanted to visit Mexico, ever since I was a little kid. Even though I'm not really all that in touch with my Latino roots, I at least would like to visit the land my family came from. Plus I always favored Mexican sweets better than American sweets so I know I'll gain a good 10 pounds just visiting :damn:

What inspired the Jael character?

I think I've answered this before, but it always changes because there wasn't just ome thing that helped me create her. I know I wanted to make a female alt because people like Brody and Marx were having fun on Empire doing their thing, meanwhile I was stuck writing Harvey in a place in time where I just wasn't happy writing him. One boring night when I was doing laundry in college, I came up with the initial idea for Jael Arcana-Rosario. She was basically an extension of me in a way, but was also influenced by books I read during my senior year of high school. As far as her character now? She's just got her own thing going on. I wouldn't say she's exactly an extension of me anymore, because she's developed into her own character with her own motives and her own personality.

When did you start efedding?

I found out about efedding through the old WWE Games forum, probably back in 2011 or 2012 I wanna say. I joined a friend's efed, but even then I wouldn't promo and I'd just sit in the Xat chat all day. I guess I never really properly started writing promos until my first official character in EAW, Atilano Castillos. I was always just the GFX maker dude.

I stopped writing as Harv because I was just in a bad state in real life. I was overwhelmed with school, I kept comparing my writing to other people and all it did was make me lose my motivation for him. I will admit, I had also been writing as him nonstop for almost a whole year, and that was probably the first time in my efed career where I kept an alt that long. So I just didn't have any long term plans for him, and eventually pulled the plug before I started to put out low effort promos or something.

Do I wish I've kept him? Yeah, because when it comes down to it, he's my little trash baby that I love with all my heart. I would like to bring him back, and there's definitely been days where I think about what his gimmick would be going forward or what would be the perfect scenario for him to return. For now, only time will tell. Plus, I wouldn't feel comfortable right now bringing him back because someone's already using his picbase and I can't see Harv as anyone else but that thicc scruffy fuckboi Tyler Bate.

Can Jael dance?

Dancing is probably her biggest guilty pleasure. She knows the full choreography for Lady Gaga's "Judas" and that's just the tea.

Where did you come up with the name 'Jael Arcana Rosario'?

Imma be real and say the first name I ever had down for her was 'Merci Prynne'. None of my friends liked 'Merci', so I went with my backup name, which was Jael. I got the name 'Jael' from a list of biblical names, and I thought it was edgy and alternative so I rolled with it. 'Jael Prynne' just wasn't clicking with Marx and Brody at the time. I left it for a while, and then I asked Marx again what he'd recommend for my Catholic nun KLR alt, and he suggested 'Arcana' and 'Rosario'. I said I really liked both, and he put the hyphen in and my mind was BLOWN.

Now she's got the whole Andrade 'Cien' Almas deal going on where she's just her first name, but I don't mind it if people still call her Jael Arcana-Rosario. It just became a mouthful to me, which is why I kinda took it out when I came back.

If Jael had to lead her own faction, who would be in it and what would you call it?

I could see a team with Jael, Minerva, and Constance. Maybe I see Amber in it as well, but then she might as well be the leader :krabs: But yeah, I like the idea of Jael leading Minerva and Connie, especially due to their connection to religion and/or spirituality. They're here to posses Empire sis. As for a name? The Devine Order, or just The Order for short.

Which Gaga song is your favorite?

Oof don't get me started. Could I just give you a list? My all time favorites are Marry the Night, Bad Romance (the song that started it all ), Heavy Metal Lover, Venus, and Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say).

Subway or Penn station?

Welp, the closest Penn Station near me is all the way in Illinois, and I ain't tryna drive all the way over there for a sandwich. Even though working at Subway has made me annoyed at even the sight of sub sandwiches, I won't deny the obsession I had with it before working there. My favorite from time to time is the Spicy Italian on flatbread with mozzarella and marinara sauce toasted with green peppers and like one piece of onion. Top that off with a swipe of ranch and Chipotle Southwest, parmesan cheese, and oregano. Toasted ham and cheese is also a classic. And I recently tried the Subway Melt on Italian herbs and cheese and honestly? I'm kinda obsessed.

I love my love-hate obsession with Subway.

What is Jael's favorite soda?

Sangría Señorial. Apparently it tastes like a real sangria, but without the alcohol. Anyways, this is one of my favorite Mexican soft drinks and everything about the color of the soda, the taste of it, and the packaging design is so on-brand for Jael.

What is Jael’s favorite animal?

Her dog Bram obviously. In general though, she really likes goats. Not just because she is the GOAT, but because she was born in the year of the goat (1991) and just likes the idea of them being this gentle yet strong animal. She probably helped raise a few of them during her childhood in Mexico, too.

When did you start getting into graphics?
So I've been fucking around with editing softwares since I first had internet installed at my house, but I wouldn't say I was "into" it at the time. Fun fact: I started off as a crappy video editor before I turned to graphics. One day I just asked this dude on a forum to make me a signature and I was like "damn that's so cool, I wanna learn how to do this". I also pretty much only exclusively made signatures or anything that could fit a small horizonal canvas, which is why I like to consider them my specialty of sorts. Still, even after a few years of only making crap sigs and horrifying band wallpapers, I never saw GFX being a thing for me. It was always something I did just to fuck around.

Graphic design wasn't a real serious hobby of mine until a couple of years ago. When I started doing Twitter headers during my time in the COD GFX community and when I later joined PDG is when I started getting "into" graphics, because then I stopped worrying about what looked "cool" and what actually worked well as a real design. That's where I came up with the name Rhyse, and eventually, my own style. Though I only ever took one design course in college, I kept the textbook from the course as well as my old notes and just refer to them whenever I need to go back to basic design principles.

So basically TL;DR: it started off as a hobby and for the past couple of years or so I've been thinking about going back to school for it, or even making a career out of it. Even though I've only had experience in making GFX for the wrestling and video game world, there's still areas where I'd love to work in. Clothing and music being two big ones. Still, I've got a whole future ahead of me so only time will tell. Follow me on Instagram @FindRhyse and help me reach GFX stardom pls.

Fantasy book a storyline for jael.
I'm quite shite with booking so let's see. Perhaps Jael makes her way up the Empire ladder, eventually becomes World Champion, but instead of celebrating, she cuts a promo saying how it's "not enough" and how she wants to be the best out of the present, past, and future. Maybe like a whole legend killer angle where she gets to defend the title in one-off matches against the likes of Cleopatra, Kendra Shamez...finally leading her to a match against Cameron Ella Ava. In Jael's eyes, she wishes she was like Cam - she was basically the 'First Female' to do a lot of things, and perhaps she sees that as a threat, and a win against her would make her the modern GOAT. I dunno, like I said, I'm shite with long term booking so I suck at explaining stuff, but that's basically a summary of what I had in mind.

I apologize ahead of time if any of these are duplicates. :p

- Not that I disagree, but in your own eyes, tell me why Lady Gaga is more than deserving of her Oscar.

- Why Harry Styles?

- I'm only asking questions just to expose you at this point. Tell the world what it is exactly about Life on the Murder Scene and the Revenge era of MCR that drove us both to madness and eventually, inspired Jael. In detail.

- How do you feel about your current EAW run with Jael? Where do you hope to take the character? Is an alt-char something you would consider?

- If it wasn't Frerard fan fic, What was it that sparked your interest in creative writing? Where do you pull inspiration from? Do you have a particular routine when it comes to sitting to write a promo?

- What about graphics? I'm not really a visual person. How do you take the image/ideas/visions in your head and put them to paper/Photoshop?

- Subway soup is disgusting. Just wanted to put that out there.

- Speaking of soup, do you like to cook? If so, do you have any recipe you would like to share? What about baking?

:krabs:

Honestly as a long-time fan of Gaga, it's amazing to see her finally get the credit she deserves this far into her career. She's had to deal with so much shit, people telling her she was too weird to ever be taken as a serious mainstream pop star/celebrity, but look at huh now!! The rah-rah bitch is living her best life!! Like she said in her speech, it's not about being a winner, it's about sticking to something you love and never giving up. There's been so many points in her career where people have said she flopped or couldn't redeem herself from, but I think that all the success and attention from A Star Is Born has definitely put her back on notice - who knows where she'll go from here whew.

- Why Harry Styles?

I hate you so much. I liked Niall at first, but then I saw 1D live in 2015 and completely fell in love with Harry. I think he was my favorite because we had similar taste in music and we kinda shared a few personality traits. I definitely talk slow just like him so that's sumn. Plus we're both Aquariuses. My crippling depression at the time made me think he's my dream man...girl I was so delusional.

- I'm only asking questions just to expose you at this point. Tell the world what it is exactly about Life on the Murder Scene and the Revenge era of MCR that drove us both to madness and eventually, inspired Jael. In detail.

LITERALLY STFU!!!! I don't have the time or patience to write an essay about MCR, but I will say that yes, the Revenge era is I-C-O-N-I-C. I don't know a better album (I say this as a Bullets stan, but anyways). MCR was pretty known to use Catholic imagery and references with their merch and even in their lyrics and music videos, and I remember being so infatuated. Being raised Catholic myself, I'm like "damn, if they can make my religion look this cool, maybe it would go well as an efed gimmick". Truth be told, I had the gimmick in mind for quite some time before the initial idea of Jael even came to me.

I think where MCR really influences Jael is in her merch and even the graphics I use for her promos. For example, I gave Marxy this logo as a reference to use on my No Prayers shirt. Might even fuck around and use that nice red serif font for a future promo banner design. Sad thing about all of this is that she probably has never heard of MCR. Chelsea probably introduced them to her and she's probably all like "they stole my gimmick :damn: !!"

- How do you feel about your current EAW run with Jael? Where do you hope to take the character? Is an alt-char something you would consider?

From a writing perspective, this has definitely been the most fun I've had doing promos in a good while. I remember when promoing used to feel like a chore, now most of it comes as second nature. Still trying to battle with the idea of quality over quantity when it comes to my words, but I'm slowly getting there.

I think that becoming a champion again has helped Jael bury her past and step up as a more power-hungry competitor. As much as I love teaming up with Raven and Chelsea, I would like to see where Jael goes as far as singles-competition goes. Even if I don't get to be a singles champion as her, I'd at least like for her to be an established threat. Maybe even have a sorta gatekeeper role with her. As for an alt...I truly wonder. For now, most of my character ideas live inside my head or on the wiki, but never say never :p

- If it wasn't Frerard fan fic, What was it that sparked your interest in creative writing? Where do you pull inspiration from? Do you have a particular routine when it comes to sitting to write a promo?

Smh I only read like two really long Frerard fics and I swear I only read them for the story but anyways. I honestly don't recall a point in my life where I found my thing for writing. I was just always the guy my friends would get to do do their essays, but I guess that's not considered "creative" since high school essays have the same building block structure. When I was in EWC as Harvey, I spent a lot of time watching shows and movies on Netflix to help me build the exact edgy character I wanted him to be. At this point, I had also reconnected with Marx after he disappeared for a year, so seeing what he wrote for his character there and also in EAW made me think, "okay, if I wanna be better I gotta actually put effort into my promos". Before I met him or Brody I would barely push 700 words.

Inspiration can come from anywhere honestly: movies, shows, books, the fucking Jesus pamphlets customers leave at the counter with a dollar tip in them...everything inspires me. Sometimes I just come up with lines when I'm in a bad mood, save them, and use them in a promo to really get that heelish edge going on. My routine has changed a lot since I first started. I used to be able to only promo when I'm listening to music, and now I almost always have to turn it off just to really focus. I guess my formula lately has been to write my character development scene one day, then write the actual promo part the next.

- What about graphics? I'm not really a visual person. How do you take the image/ideas/visions in your head and put them to paper/Photoshop?

Sis sometimes I don't even know. I'm a big punk rock fan at heart, and I use elements of the design you'd see in that subculture and put it into my work. I love to make collages, and part of that is my love for old-school D.I.Y. punk flyers and zines. Sigs are usually where I put that collage style into work, especially when it comes to creating my own background patterns. Sometimes I feel like I just randomly toss images together in hopes that I make something decent out of them, but I feel like there's a lot more to it than just that. I think that part of it is also that, since I know my own style and what my usual limits are, I'm able to envision a poster or sig before it's even fully finished. I will admit that most of the times though, my ideas are done on the spot. Which sucks because then I have to finish a good chunk of a poster or whatever to get it all down so I don't forget the next time I open Photoshop.

- Subway soup is disgusting. Just wanted to put that out there.

Well...tea tbh. I mean, I only like the creamy chicken and dumplings soup, but only if it's FRESH. The Subway I used to work at...omg they'd keep the same pot of soup out for days at a time I could never.

- Speaking of soup, do you like to cook? If so, do you have any recipe you would like to share? What about baking?

I'm a Mexican and I don't know how to cook, sue me. I can make eggs, but that's about it. I do a lot of baking at work, but it's just cookies and bread so I don't know how well I'd function making real deserts or non-Subway bread. One time I made macaroni and cheese from scratch in my middle school cooking class, and that was probably the first and only time I cooked and felt accomplished in the kitchen. Once I get off my ass and learn all my mom's recipes, it's over for all y'all hoes.
