I apologize ahead of time if any of these are duplicates.
- Not that I disagree, but in your own eyes, tell me why Lady Gaga is more than deserving of her Oscar.
Honestly as a long-time fan of Gaga, it's amazing to see her finally get the credit she deserves this far into her career. She's had to deal with so much shit, people telling her she was too weird to ever be taken as a serious mainstream pop star/celebrity, but look at huh now!! The rah-rah bitch is living her best life!! Like she said in her speech, it's not about being a winner, it's about sticking to something you love and never giving up. There's been so many points in her career where people have said she flopped or couldn't redeem herself from, but I think that all the success and attention from A Star Is Born has definitely put her back on notice - who knows where she'll go from here whew.
- Why Harry Styles?
I hate you so much. I liked Niall at first, but then I saw 1D live in 2015 and completely fell in love with Harry. I think he was my favorite because we had similar taste in music and we kinda shared a few personality traits. I definitely talk slow just like him so that's sumn. Plus we're both Aquariuses. My crippling depression at the time made me think he's my dream man...girl I was so delusional.

I'm only asking questions just to expose you at this point. Tell the world what it is exactly about
Life on the Murder Scene and the Revenge era of MCR that drove us both to madness and eventually, inspired Jael. In detail.
LITERALLY STFU!!!! I don't have the time or patience to write an essay about MCR, but I will say that yes, the Revenge era is I-C-O-N-I-C. I don't know a better album (I say this as a Bullets stan, but anyways). MCR was pretty known to use Catholic imagery and references with their merch and even in their lyrics and music videos, and I remember being so infatuated. Being raised Catholic myself, I'm like "damn, if they can make my religion look this cool, maybe it would go well as an efed gimmick". Truth be told, I had the gimmick in mind for quite some time before the initial idea of Jael even came to me.
I think where MCR really influences Jael is in her merch and even the graphics I use for her promos. For example, I gave Marxy this
logo as a reference to use on my
No Prayers shirt. Might even fuck around and use that nice red serif font for a future promo banner design. Sad thing about all of this is that she probably has never heard of MCR. Chelsea probably introduced them to her and she's probably all like "they stole my gimmick
!!"
- How do you feel about your current EAW run with Jael? Where do you hope to take the character? Is an alt-char something you would consider?
From a writing perspective, this has definitely been the most fun I've had doing promos in a good while. I remember when promoing used to feel like a chore, now most of it comes as second nature. Still trying to battle with the idea of quality over quantity when it comes to my words, but I'm slowly getting there.
I think that becoming a champion again has helped Jael bury her past and step up as a more power-hungry competitor. As much as I love teaming up with Raven and Chelsea, I would like to see where Jael goes as far as singles-competition goes. Even if I don't get to be a singles champion as her, I'd at least like for her to be an established threat. Maybe even have a sorta gatekeeper role with her. As for an alt...I truly wonder. For now, most of my character ideas live inside my head or on the wiki, but never say never
- If it wasn't Frerard fan fic, What was it that sparked your interest in creative writing? Where do you pull inspiration from? Do you have a particular routine when it comes to sitting to write a promo?
Smh I only read like two really long Frerard fics and I swear I only read them for the story but anyways. I honestly don't recall a point in my life where I found my thing for writing. I was just always the guy my friends would get to do do their essays, but I guess that's not considered "creative" since high school essays have the same building block structure. When I was in EWC as Harvey, I spent a lot of time watching shows and movies on Netflix to help me build the exact edgy character I wanted him to be. At this point, I had also reconnected with Marx after he disappeared for a year, so seeing what he wrote for his character there and also in EAW made me think, "okay, if I wanna be better I gotta actually put effort into my promos". Before I met him or Brody I would barely push 700 words.
Inspiration can come from anywhere honestly: movies, shows, books, the fucking Jesus pamphlets customers leave at the counter with a dollar tip in them...everything inspires me. Sometimes I just come up with lines when I'm in a bad mood, save them, and use them in a promo to really get that heelish edge going on. My routine has changed a lot since I first started. I used to be able to only promo when I'm listening to music, and now I almost always have to turn it off just to really focus. I guess my formula lately has been to write my character development scene one day, then write the actual promo part the next.
- What about graphics? I'm not really a visual person. How do you take the image/ideas/visions in your head and put them to paper/Photoshop?
Sis sometimes I don't even know. I'm a big punk rock fan at heart, and I use elements of the design you'd see in that subculture and put it into my work. I love to make collages, and part of that is my love for old-school D.I.Y. punk flyers and zines. Sigs are usually where I put that collage style into work, especially when it comes to creating my own background patterns. Sometimes I feel like I just randomly toss images together in hopes that I make something decent out of them, but I feel like there's a lot more to it than just that. I think that part of it is also that, since I know my own style and what my usual limits are, I'm able to envision a poster or sig before it's even fully finished. I will admit that most of the times though, my ideas are done on the spot. Which sucks because then I have to finish a good chunk of a poster or whatever to get it all down so I don't forget the next time I open Photoshop.
- Subway soup is disgusting. Just wanted to put that out there.
Well...tea tbh. I mean, I only like the creamy chicken and dumplings soup, but only if it's FRESH. The Subway I used to work at...omg they'd keep the same pot of soup out for days at a time I could never.
- Speaking of soup, do you like to cook? If so, do you have any recipe you would like to share? What about baking?
I'm a Mexican and I don't know how to cook, sue me. I can make eggs, but that's about it. I do a lot of baking at work, but it's just cookies and bread so I don't know how well I'd function making real deserts or non-Subway bread. One time I made macaroni and cheese from scratch in my middle school cooking class, and that was probably the first and only time I cooked and felt accomplished in the kitchen. Once I get off my ass and learn all my mom's recipes, it's over for all y'all hoes.
