I’d like to start off by thanking everybody who gave me feedback after I reached out to them on the prospects of this happening, I took everything that was said into consideration. There were some understandable concerns that I addressed in my responses. There were also some who would have rather not went through with it but for the most part, the vast majority of people were on board with the potential of a merger between REVOLT and EAW. After heavy consideration and mulling my options over, myself alongside the rest of the REVOLT board have decided that the best option going forward is to merge with EAW effective immediately.
What does this mean for you?
You’ll be placed onto a brand whether it be Showdown, Dynasty, or Voltage, if you’re a freeweight you’ll be placed on Empire. You will be exclusive members of those rosters respectively, you can check the roster section on the forum categories to see where you've been placed. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions about your character and/or it’s booking you can contact your writers:
Showdown Writer - Diamond Cage(@Cage.)
Dynasty Writer - Scott Diamond(@Scott Diamond)
Voltage Writer - Impact(@Impact)
Empire Writer - Cloud/Stephanie Matsuda(@Stephanie Matsuda)
What does this mean for the REVOLT website?
The website is being rebranded as EAW. Our main site url will be http://eawrestling.com while our original forum url of https://forum.revoltprocombat.com will now be http://eawnetwork.com and that’s where we’ll be operating from. You can still use the old forum url and it will redirect you to the new one since the site is essentially the same, https://revoltprocombat.com will just take you to the now old REVOLT website that we won’t be operating under anymore. At the point of this this being made, eawnetwork is not yet activated and eawrestling isn't updated to reflect the merger, but expect that within the next 24 hours. So if you’re a current REVOLT member you don’t have to post a new contract or anything unless you decide you want to edit to reflect EAW’s contract style. So expect a large number of sign ups to this site from EAW members eventually.
What does this mean for REVOLT 2?
REVOLT 2 will still go on as planned. Whether it will be done live on the chat or just be posted on the site is still up in the air but we still fully expect everyone who is booked to promo for the show as select angles and scenarios will continue onto EAW’s storylines.
What does this mean if I’m already in both feds under different characters?
You’ll be able to retain your EAW character and dropping your REVOLT character unless you want to use him as an alt barring pic base constraints. For example, Maximum Grier who is Marty Scurll in REVOLT is also Lars Grier who is Roman Reigns in EAW. He would be retaining Lars and dropping Maximum unless he decided to use him as an alt with a different pic base since Scurll is currently being used by Theron Nikolas in EAW. That also means Badass Kevin would have to drop his REVOLT character and retain his EAW character of Damon Diesel. As far as pic bases go for members who are in REVOLT exclusively and not EAW, don’t worry about the potential of a duplicate and having to change. Unless I contacted you to personally inform you that you’ll need to find a new pic base then you’re good.
I’d like to ask those who were not fond of the potential of a merger to not let this discourage you and please keep the same energy you kept in REVOLT as I promise you will not get lost in the shuffle as long as you are a consistent promoer. Thank you to those who believed in the vision and is enthusiastic about the moves being made. Going forward lets make this a great community and let’s ensure that this is another successful Pain for Pride season.
