The scene opens with in the park, Helena Merriman is sitting alone on a park bench, by all appearances it appears a nice day outside. Wearing a “Team Dynasty” promotional t-shirt, she crosses her leg. Leaning back, relaxed as can be, Helena is ready to speak.
“The honeymoon is over...” Helena says with a smile. “In fairness, the honeymoon should have been over AFTER Ronan attacked me a few weeks ago. Even then I held my head high, why should his post match antics bother me? I won, Ronan proved what kind of man he was with his post match assault. This recent edition of Friday Night Dynasty was different, between Justin getting blinded by a fireball; to Victor Stone and Santo Muerte causing unbridled havoc, it took a couple weeks, I accept the circumstances for what they are. Being happy to be here is NOT enough anymore.” Helena affirms with complete conviction. “I will always be the woman who goes out there expecting my opponent to push me to my limits, I can’t; nor will I change that aspect of myself. What I will do, from this moment forward, is approach every match like it’s a war. I am supposed to be a One Woman Army...”
“The Valkyrie showed me they are willing to do whatever it takes, fireballs and all, to get ahead, Santo and Stone showed they don’t care about boundaries. Neither will I. I took Darcy’s suggestion to heart, I wasn’t going to sit back and let fate decide when justice for Friday’s attack would happen. As you already saw, me and Justin invaded Showdown, we took the fight to Stone. I would be lying if I said kicking his ass didn't feel good. Getting a small taste of justice felt GREAT, one hundred percent. September 6th and 7th was real eye opener for me in this company. I have no regrets whatsoever. But Helena, aren’t you worried all of the inter-brand warfare is going to rear its ugly head on Friday Night when you face Andrea Valentine I can hear the world asking.” Helena pauses. “To that I say, not at all. I’m not blind, I expect Victor Stone to retaliate in someway, I would be a fool if I didn’t expect my actions to spiral into a predictable counter attack. Who is to say someone from the Voltage roster might get involved, the level of tension around EAW in general is at an all time high, anyone is likely to ruin this fight for me. As I stated recently, I can’t control who else comes to the fight, I can’t spend a whole bunch of sleepless nights worrying. All I can focus on is preparing for the challenge ahead. If an invader shows up, so be it, I am going to put faith in my brand to have my back. Not for me. We are in this war against Showdown and Voltage, together.”
“Andrea Valentine” a small smile forms on Helena’s face. “I know I’m technically still new around here. I signed around the time the Bloodsport pay per view was set to take place. I made my Dynasty debut in The Garden as a matter of fact. I couldn’t wait to watch Bloodsport, there were a lot of great matches I looked forward to watching, I wasn’t disappointed, watching all of you put your bodies on the line, marveling at the lengths everyone was willing to go to push themselves to victory; only reaffirmed my decision that Elite Answers Wrestling is the place to be. I am trying not to take anything away from everyone who competed that night, sincerely, the contest I was the most impressed by was your match with Kathryn Wicked. Kathryn sunk to the darkest depths imaginable to try to not only walk out your Flaming Weapons match the winner, I got the impression she was trying to end your career. I have no clue what was going through Kathryn’s head at the time, I don’t want to find out. The unimaginable lengths she tried to go to secure her place in the record books was cringe worthy. But you fought. You wouldn’t stand down, digging deep like the warrior you are, you proved beyond a shadow of a doubt how far you would go to walk away the winner. You did just that. I’m not ashamed to admit, I was in awe. I knew, if there was ever a chance I could face you in the ring I wouldn’t turn the opportunity down. When Starrman told me that I would challenge for the Specialist Championship, I was beyond excited, my wish came true. I would fight you, title or no title, no one turns down a title shot, I won’t be the first. I wish we could have fought without this interbrand warfare hanging over us, but it is. As inconvenient as it is to say, our Specialist Championship match is not as simple as I want it to be.”
Helena shakes her head. “This goes way beyond who could possibly invade. You are not just the Specialist Champion, Andrea, on September 22nd, you stand with Team Voltage as they walk into one of the most brutal matches in wrestling, period, War Games against Team Showdown and my brand, Team Dynasty. As much as I appreciate your warrior spirit, ignoring the context of our battle would be silly. To just be happy about receiving this opportunity would be doing our impending war a disservice. Our match is bigger than me, bigger than you, bigger than both of us. With a war going on, you are the enemy; no grey area about this situation. Any opportunity I have to give my brand an advantage leading into War Games, I am going to be a team player. There are two ways I can do just that, one is by ensuring you don’t walk into War Games one hundred percent, the second one is obvious, bringing the Specialist Championship to the Dynasty brand. That would be a blow for the woman who is plastered front and center all over the Territorial Invasion poster."
"You may have lost to Darkane on Sunday, you can somewhat recover from that. I want you to go back to the Voltage locker room Sunday explaining to the people on your team; along with the rest of the locker room how dropped the ball, two shows in a row, to a member of the Dynasty roster.”
