Ronn = Literally some random shit I made as my name on the AWF chatroom in 2007 because I wasn't tryna use my real name or my Y!A name.
Banks = Lloyd Banks

I'd also like to note that I was going by Banks before WWE ever thought of giving Mercedes KV that name. Shit before she even started wrestling if we gonna get technical

Malcolm Jones

Malcolm was taken from Malcolm X, a revolutionary from Harlem who I feel doesn't get anywhere near the credit he deserves as an historical figure. And since Malcolm Jones is also billed from Harlem I thought that made sense.

Jones was just me thinking of a last name I could go with that starts with the letter J while also still sounding black, I was thinking of Jenkins too but that didn't really roll off the tongue(pause) as much as I'd have liked it to.

I wanted the last name to definitely be J so that my initials and nickname can be MJ because all the GOATs go by MJ(Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Michael Jackson) and I wasn't trying to use their exact last names or it wouldn't be as clever. So ye that's how I came up with Malcolm Jones/MJ.

Originally a joke alt character in 2009. She was supposed to be a dumb whore bimbo who always typed in caps and spelled shit wrong. So I chose Kendra from the pornstar Kendra Wilkinson and Shamez because she was a "shame" and to add a little spice added a z at the end. Also added Kelly Kelly as a picbase cuz she sucked.

Maximus = Latin word meaning Greatest.

Grier = Just the last name to fit with the continuity since Maximus has a brother who is another character I run in a different fed.

Essentially, I made his first name sort of a joke to say that this character is the "Greatest Grier" and better than his brother or anybody else related to him, conveying that idea of superiority. Corny shit, I know.

Layla= Simply from having the song of the same name in my head at the time and it seeming like a good name for a Face

It's really weird, since Dampshaw is the only efed character I've had, but I can't pinpoint the origins of the name. I just knew that I wanted a really snobbish, aristocratic British sounding name and I threw ones around (Alister, Thomas, Charles) but Reginald seemed the perfect fit.

The last name Dampshaw just kinda fell into place because saying it with a British accent just sounds arrogant. There's no way to say it without it being high falootin'. The III was obviously just the cherry on top of the rich white English cake.

Scott = irl first name

Diamond = When I created my CAW in SVR 06 you used to be able to (and I think you still can) choose what the ring announcer would call you when you make your entrance. My irl last name wasn't an option but "Diamond" was and I liked how "Scott Diamond" sounded so uhh yeah, I went with it.

 

[Astraea Jordan]

Astraea is a greek goddess. Specifically, of innocence and purity. She's also associated with the Goddess of Justice, Dike, which was my OG nickname but I didn't wanna use the name Dike so

Jordan was suggested by Scott, I believe. And Astraea is from Chicago and real proud of it so it's taken from Michael Jordan as well and it made sense to use.

I usually just look at the picbase real hard and think about the basic concept that I have for the character, and wait until something jumps into my head.

Ashten - Ashten comes from Ashton... I don't remember who had that name but I saw it when I was like 11 and ran with it.

Cross - I believe I was using the name Johnny Cross before I was using Ashten, thought it sounded cool.

Everything just comes from being 11.

My efed name is carried over from my yahoo answers screen name - as all y!a wrestling section based efed names were back in the day. I chose Mr. DEDEDE as my screen name because there were a lot of stupid people on y!a, and carlos mencia had that little bit about stupid people being dededes. So i figure if im going to sign up for a site with a lot of idiots on it i might as well answer questions made by idiots, for idiots

So for those who think mr dedede is a stupid name, well, it’s only as dumb as the fans of fake wrestling are.

Lucian Baal

Lucian is a name I originally chose because my stupid ass thought it sounded original. It's obviously a variant of the French name "Lucien" which means light. I almost didn't use it for REVOLT but I thought it was perfect for the whole ying-yang inspired gimmick I'm doing because of its meaning

As for "Baal" it's a demon name and the Lucian character has been metaphorically plagued by demons p much his whole life. That's kinda dark, right? So the full name is basically a combination of light and darkness, it's perfectly fitting for the ying-yang shit.

Cormoran Worg

I'm a big fan of mythology and decided to go with Cormoran, the name of the first giant killed by Jack the Giant Killer, pretty much just because it sounded unique to me and I was listening to a podcast about the tale as I was coming up with a new ring name.

Worg, well, I'll be honest, I fucked up spelling Warg, which is a wolf in Norse mythology and a large or evil wolf in some fantasy books. I ended up preferring the Worg spelling and just kind of went with it. I wanted to go with something relating to wolves since Worg's former masked identity was Ghost Wolf.

So I guess together Cormoran Worg means Giant Wolf? Kind of ironic since he's a welterweight.

Raven Roberts-

Raven- a beautiful bird that has a sense of power and ferocity as well as a symbol of wisdom.

Roberts- sounded smoother than any other last name I thought up.
