“Legends Only”
(The camera opens to Stephanie “Cloud” Matsuda standing in the middle of the ring at the Las Vega Motor Speedway. It’s almost midnight, and there’s barely anyone around. She has the EAW Women’s World Championship around her waist and the EAW Vixens World Championship over her shoulder.)
“I don’t have much time, but I’ll make this short. ‘The meaning of life, of our life, is that which we choose to give it.’ The path I have chosen for myself is pro wrestling- specifically women’s wrestling. This wasn’t because I thought women needed to be separated from men per se, but the idea that it is equity NOT equality that we should seek. Our accomplishments shouldn’t go quietly into the good night. I’ve fought my way up a mountain to reach the Land of the Elite - wrestling Valhalla if you will. I wasn’t blessed with the guidance of valkyries and instead found a way to the promise land myself, on my own terms. That’s another mark of a leader, Sienna. I’m a self-made champion - someone who took a risk when the opportunity presented itself and came out on the other side, a stronger, wiser person. Starting tomorrow, I can’t let down my guard around you. There’s so much at stake...and not just related to me. The women I’ve mentioned...whose legacies I’ve claimed to live through me...there’s a reason why I said it. If I lose those match...if by chance you beat me Sienna...their legacies go down the drain with mine. This isn’t just about me being champ, but rather about me carrying the hope of an entire division...one that existed long before Revolt’s.”
(Stephanie pauses for a moment)
“It’s funny when you think about it. You run around, talking about how you and Kass are going to be together forever, but the title we’re fighting for? Undisputed Women’s World Champion? It’s a singles title, sweets. Let’s say by some chance you’re able to pin me in that ring or tap my ass out. When you put that title around your waist, nobody’s going to give a fuck about Kassidy Heart. All eyes will be on you. Only YOU will be invited to the Today show; only YOU will be making those special appearances; only YOU will be on the cover of a future EAW game. You may say this won’t bother you, but as time goes on, it’ll get worse and worse until Kass has no choice but to turn on you for her to get what she truly desires - the title around your waist. That is if you can get past me, which trust and believe you won’t be able to. You can come up with every trick in the book, and send as many people as you want down that ramp to try and sabotage me. At this point, I’m fucking unstoppable, undeniable, and goddamn iconic. Your legacy may not end here...but mine sure as hell will continue long after those lights turn off and this very ring I’m standing in gets disassembled.”
(Cloud cracks a grin)
“And I don’t need some twit from Australia to help me get over either.”
(Stephanie looks up at the sky for a moment)
“This will be the first time we’ve ever fought...but it sure as hell won’t be the last. Whatever happens next season reminds to be seen but know this, understand it and believe that for now…”
(Stephanie looks at the camera)
“This is My Empire.”
