So we don't acc have a hub for discussion because we have the Discord server so I'll do monthly questions and open a forum on here. I'll pose some thought-provoking questions that may or may not go down well but these are things that I think about listed below. I want to know what you think. Obviously if you're going to reference spoilers, please enclose them and give fair notice. There may be sensitive topics enclosed so please address this with maturity.1. Finn Balor is NXT Champion again / Should there be more 'call downs?'
Finn Balor beat Adam Cole after a couple of good matches and The Prince is now NXT Champion, I love the guy so I'm happy that he won. The current NXT Tag Team Champions are Breezango (considering Fandango was an FCW not an NXT product). Are there any other names who would benefit from being withdrawn from the 'main' roster?
2. Roman Reigns & The Usos / Would you rather they feuded or teamed?
So Roman Reigns is facing Jey Uso as he defends his belt and it does look like they're going to face off as per Daniel Bryan's influence on SD Live. There's been a couple of discussions going online that a heel Bloodline stable could work with this trio and Paul Heyman and ideally, this could be a good way to introduce The Undisputed Era from NXT. The OP Thinks: I can see this being a GOOD decision and would support a Bloodline vs UE feud but as long as The Usos don't get lost in the shuffle as Roman's henchmen. Look at The Hurt Business for example. MVP is the leader of things but he shares the spotlight.
3. Rusev (I mean Miro) is now All-Elite / Have they introduced him right?
The original poster thinks AEW is trash but outside of WWE, it is the biggest professional wrestling name in North America. This week Miro debuted on Dynamite as "The Best Man" for Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford's televised wedding and it looks like he's using that as his nickname. Is this the best move? Miro is over as hell at the moment and reaction for him in a 'limited' arena shows that he's still got star power. It seems like the two Sabian and Miro have been paired together because they're Twitch Friends but this partnership could elevate Kip Sabian.
4. MJF and Wardlow set to feud / Do you even care?
It seems like the two are growing tense and there's been the whole "You serve me, I have your job" Ted Dibiase Sr. schtick between MJF/Wardlow. I'm not sure that I care enough for this. Wardlow has not done enough as an individual since joining to show that he can make it. The OP Thinks: Zzzzz.
5. The Hurt Business / Would you be against a non-African American joining?
Don't get me wrong, I think the dynamic is on-point. MVP the mouthpiece, Lashley the muscle, Shelton the veteran and Cedric the 'prospect.' But I'm just thinking back to earlier this year when Austin Theory (cough, piece of shit) joined Zelina Vega's group of clients. There were so many comments saying he was 'out of place' and what not and the fact he wasn't Latin played into it. Are general wrestling fans complicit to the expectations of how an ideal stable should look like? Are fans accepting of these 'segregated' groups by playing along with "New Nation of Domination" comparisons? The OP thinks: It's fine as it is now. If they do expand, maybe they should add a tag team to the ranks?
6. RETRIBUTION / Is anyone actually interested, do they need main roster input?
It just feels like a 'shock' storyline being made for ratings sake but I'm really struggling to see the point of it. NWO had legit starpower and you could believe them taking over, they had an image and everything. More recently, Nexus had legitimate motive and the 'being forced to fight each other' narrative made sense. But with this? I'm not sold to be honest. In all fairness, Aces & Eights didn't have clear motives to begin with except anarchy but this is feeling a lot like that. RETRIBUTION don't have enough stars to make me care. What would you do with this group?
7. Which feud in professional wrestling right now is interesting you the most?
The floor is yours now.
