With the Super Bowl right around the corner ( My pick is Kansas City by the way ) we can't help but think about the second attempt at the XFL which starts in February this year.
Are any of you going to follow that league?

Personally I'm going to keep an eye on the Tampa Bay Vipers mostly because of Marc Trestman their Coach and GM.
The reason why is I followed the guy back when he was Head Coach for the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL and led them to back-to-back Grey Cups back in 2009 and 2010.

I’ll probably watch and root for the Washington team but I won’t lose any sleep if I miss a game

I'll give it a game or two...also being from Oklahoma I'll root for the Renegades due to Stoops and a handful of Sooners being on that team

Honestly it's been a competitive opening weekend with some solid games, most have started slow but once every one found there groove games have gotten better

I've read that all games have sold out when the AAF didn't have a single sell out

I say I'm hooked

Most likely not. I remember the first XFL, It was gimmicked to the tee and it felt like Vince was trying to make it more like WWE than Football. If I do watch it, I may wait until the second or third game and read reviews first. I remember one game where a guy ran into a field goal post and actually bent it. It's crap like that which caused the XFL to fail the first time.

Well, if I review based on what I have seen so far the 2020 XFL is clearly doing better than it's the original attempt. You don't have a feel that is is backed by the WWE at all this time around, no WWE logo anywhere no WWE personel be it McMahon or wrestlers the only thing I see is fans wearing WWE stuff and the occasional WWE-inspired touchdown celebration which is fine.

Everything else feels like the XFL is it's own thing clear and distinct from the WWE.

I watched the games today, man... Vipers had no fangs! Where were their hands! So many slips! So many fumbles and interceptions! It was a sad sight to see! lol

It wasn't that bad from what I saw on Instagram. People seemed to really enjoy it

I liked how your able to hear the coaches call in plays and such

Listening in to the reviews with the refs is a nice touch

Also I'm not a fan of ingame sideline interviews but I guess I'll get use to it....

I just checked out the highlights. First off, the commentators sounds more sports like which I like, and it seems like they're actually playing football. So I may go back and watch the full game, just to see if there were any gimmick stuff in it.

All I got to say is more Pat Mcafee please hahaha...But from the games that I watched the commentators they gave it a lot of good quality and insight. Honestly when I saw the newly retired Panthers TE Greg Olsen doing commentary I was thinking oh great Witten 2.0 but he was actually pretty good on the mic

Gimmick type stuff of there being no extra point kicking then yes as you can go " two " instead as you can line up at the goalline for one point near the five for two or outside the ten for three...Most teams went for two and most of the time no one converted.

Also the kickoffs are gimmickey as teams lined up across from each other at the 35 and the ball has to be caught before anyone can block or get the returner which in my opinion puts fundementals to blocking and tackling to use cuz if you cant block your returner is most likely not going to get past the 20-35 yard line and if ya cant tackle then all the returner has to do is get past the kicker and he gone...Also if your kicker cant kick it deep past the 20 then the ball is placed past the 50 for the return team
