Okay, here is the long awaited Three Strike Rule thread. Please read this thread very carefully.

This rule will be placed in effect the weekend of Thursday night, 10/11/2018

From this point forward, all 4 weekly EAW shows (Empire, Dynasty, Showdown and Voltage) will be due by 11:59pm est, the due day of their respective shows.

Empire will be due Thursdays, Dynasty due Fridays, Showdown Saturdays, and Voltage Sundays.

As there was last time, there will be a 24 hour grace period in effect. This allows the show to be posted a maximum of 24 hours past the due date without penalty.

Any head writer who turns in their show even a minute past the 24 hour grace period will receive (1) STRIKE.

This means if the Empire writer turns in their show at 12:00 AM EST on Saturday, it will count as a strike. The same, obviously, goes for all other 3 brands.

A match card should not be posted any later than 24 hours after the show is posted, failure to post in a timely manner will result in 0.5 going to their strike total.

When shows end up being late and they have to be pushed back a day or two because of how late it is, there will be no grace period for those already delayed shows. Meaning that if Sunday Night Voltage is pushed back to Monday with the promo deadline being Sunday, Voltage’s writer doesn’t have the luxury of getting the show up on Tuesday, it has to be up no later than Monday along with the card, you also don’t get 24 hours to post the card either if the show is already delayed. So anything later than the intended delayed date is also a strike or half a strike.

Any head writer who receives (3) STRIKES will be removed from their post, and will be unable to take a head writer position for the remainder of the season.

A head writer is only permitted to turn in their show with 1 match OR segment missing, to be added later. If you send in a show missing more than 1 match OR segment, it will not be posted nor will it be considered on time

DEDEDE and Banks officially reserve the right to proofread the shows before they are posted and change the result to any EAW match we choose, at any time we see fit. If you do not agree with this mandate, please resign from your post.

If you believe a match is too storyline intensive to ever be changed, take it up with one of us before the show is turned in.

Once again Showdown will be scheduled for this upcoming Sunday. Its delay revokes the right of a grace period for this week.

Since I have had to cover writing the last 3 Empires for Cloud, and a couple Empires from October, and since we haven’t seen Cloud in a couple of weeks, and since I already have another brand to worry about, it will go without saying that we need to name a new head writer.

Therefore @Remi Skyfire has been named the new Empire head writer! He has been part of the Empire writing team and helped out tremendously with leading Battleground. He is already aware and prepared for the opportunity, congratulations to you Remi.

For those of you who are a part of the discord server you've probably already noticed these changes, however just to get everyone up to speed on a few changes regarding the writers going forward, I'll announce them here.

With Cage taking a break we have been working alongside @Raven Roberts these past few weeks in preparation, and he's done a great job at handling and booking Showdown leading up to Road to Redemption, therefore Raven Roberts will be the Showdown head writer going forward. When Cage returns they'll either work as co-writers or Raven will be head writer on another brand that needs more help. Raven is someone who has stepped up tremendously and has an amazing mind for ideas. I look forward to seeing the great things he leads Showdown to.

On a more personal note, it has been an honor and pleasure to serve as the head writer of Voltage since returning to EAW in April. After over a year straight of being a head writer on a weekly basis in some shape or form, from NEO to Resurgence/Rebellion to Voltage, I think it's time that I take a step back and focus more on my position as chairman as well as free up more time to tend to my real life responsibilities. Therefore from this point forward, taking my place will be none other than @Kassidy Heart. I have all the faith in the world that Kassidy will be an amazing writer, even better than I was. She has head writing/booking experience predating her time in EAW, and anyone who reads her promos knows how much of an amazing storyteller she is. Her match writing abilities speak for itself, as indicated by the Voltage Elimination Chamber that she wrote. I'll still be working close with her regarding booking and storyline ideas but she will be the head writer from this point forward.

Congrats to both Raven and Kassidy on their new positions!

Major announcement:

Effective today, 2/16/2019, there will be a shaking up of writers taking place. @Amber Keys and @Cameron Ella Ava will be taking over the Empire brand as co-writers, with their first show together taking place this Thursday.

In addition to that, @Remi Skyfire will be replacing me as Dynasty GM/writer, with his first show taking place this Friday.

The last 6 months of writing Dynasty have been the most strenuous period I've ever had as a writer simply due to the amount of hours I work and personal life ambitions; however I would like to thank the Dynasty roster for being incredible sports throughout the entire process. I don't think I had a single person sulk over a loss, or take out any shortcomings on me, and when someone no-showed they either came right back the next week or gave me a reason for it. I'd like to express my gratitude and respect for you guys for being courteous, hard working, respectful and superbly professional. I ask that you maintain that same attitude towards Remi, who is an awesome writer and a thoughtful GM with a lot to offer to this brand.

Likewise to the Empire roster, who are filled to the brim with talent. Do not hesitate to communicate with your writers, or with myself and Banks about anything. They are here to help you and happy to assist you. You all know their pedigree as well as their work ethic to begin with. Let's continue this new chapter in the season as a team. Godspeed and godbless.
