I figured I'd make this thread here on these forums since there were alt rules on the old forum. I notice that people have increasingly been approaching me about the idea of making alts, especially those with a recent history of making multiple characters and not sticking to them. So effective immediately these rules are once again being implemented.
Going forward, if you want to make an alt character you need to be here for at least 6 months straight as a consistent promoer. With your alt character you have a three strike rule, meaning if you no show three weeks of promoing your alt will be deleted and you'll no longer be able to make any more alts for the rest of the season AT MINIMUM(it will vary). When I say three weeks I don't mean three straight weeks, I mean three weeks period.
If you have a history of making multiple characters and then suddenly changing your mind and dropping them, whether you promoed as them or not it is still an inconvenience to your writer to suddenly drop a character, especially one in storylines. If your excuse is you didn't like it's booking, well you more than likely won't like the booking of whatever other character you had planned either considering your writer won't trust you. Therefore, you will be banned from handling multiple characters in that event as well.
Very rarely do we grant permission for three characters but the same rules apply. If you show you can't handle three after we gave you that rare opportunity, then you won't be given that opportunity again.
There are already some people aware of them not being able to handle another character for the time being prior to this thread being made, but going forward if you manage to get three strikes, the banning will be announced on this thread. We will also keep track of strikes.
