“Because I listened.”
In case you’ve been living under a rock, that’s what Captain Charisma told me this past Sunday on Voltage. Possibly the smartest thing that I’ve heard from a General Manager during all my time here in this company. That’s a man who knows success; that’s a man who feels greatness when he sees it. And I mean, you feel it too, don’t you? You feel it in the air; that’s not just anything, no… that’s change. Not just in my very being, but in the landscape of this company as well. For too long, it has been deprived of a true trendsetter, someone who moves the needle, who knows what it means to be the very best. We’ve seen a lot of pretenders around here, but none have been able to lace my boots. None have been able to match my greatness. And for a while, that was something that I was willing to keep to myself. But after Pain For Pride, I came to a very stark realization: the truth doesn’t deserve to be silenced. It deserves to be shouted from the mountaintops for everyone to hear, or else their denial is going to be the death of this place as we know it. I gave all of you a chance to run around and play hero, but now your time has run out. It’s time for real talent to step in and set this brand straight, because it definitely needs that, considering that for the past season there’s been nothing but incompetence afloat. I left one year ago thinking that I left this place better off, and here I am being proven wrong. That ain’t a fault of my own; that’s just what happens when you’re not holding people’s hands, spelling out the words, and tying their shoes for them. They need a savior; they need ME, and that’s exactly why I’ve stepped in.
It doesn’t matter what anybody has to say; there is NOBODY who deserves to lead this brand more than I do.
There’s a time and a place for what’s going to happen at Bloodsport, and trust me, nobody else gets to dictate that but me. Because as far as I’m concerned, Damon and Jay run on MY time. They play by MY rules, and that’s not something that should come as a surprise to anyone, because Sunday Night Voltage is MINE and nobody else’s. So I can’t help but take it personally when I hear other people run their mouths trying to claim that they’re someone they’re not. The likes of ToXXXin, who think that little Minerva over here runs this shit just because she’s got the Universal Women’s Championship around her waist, and you know what I think about that? I don’t care if you have that title, the EAW World Title, the Answers World Title, the World Heavyweight Title; it don’t mean nothing. Because a title has little value when it’s in the hands of a pretender, it becomes a trinket; it’s meaningless. Last season, when I held the Answers World Championship, EVERYTHING revolved around me, and the same can be said for the last title reign and the one before that. You may THINK that you can say the same for yourself, but I’ve been around your contemporaries enough to know that don’t mean jackshit. And I don’t mean the ones that you run around with now; I mean the New Eden folks. I mean the Drake Kings and the Myles of the world, all of them. Remember that? The ones who thought that they were bigger than the titles. The ones who had a singular moment of glory all to themselves just to piss it all away because of their own greed. And the only reason that people believed that to be true is that you sold them a lie, like a true snake oil salesman, and you can’t deny that because Drake King is still doing that to this day. But none of that ever raised your stock any further than where it was; it just disguised it, which leaves you no room to try and go after me in any sort of manner. So I say all of this to say that I expect what’s going to come out of your mouth. You’re going to go on and on about how little my words mean despite all the time that has separated the last time the two of us have faced, but deep down you know the truth. You’re just as much of a hypocrite as you claim me to be, and maybe that’s something that you need to think real hard about before it kicks you in the ass like it does every single time. I’m not gonna look at Minerva, or whatever her goddamn partner’s name is, and see a threat, nah, it may be irrelevant to you, but winning means everything to me. They don’t ever tell your story unless you’re at the top, and my time has shown me that much if anything.
And you know what I think is just hilarious, that I am certain Kai Rabeaux believes the same thing about himself as well. Here he stands after what people claim to be the hottest end to a season possible, standing at the very top and feeling like nobody can contest him, but nobody’s going to sit him down like the little boy he is and tell him the truth. That you can do whatever you want; it don’t change the intangibles. It don’t change the fact that ain’t nobody buying a ticket to any one of these shows for “Kai Rabeaux”. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. We in the main event of Voltage, my territory, my landmark, and I was coming out here expecting some sort of challenge. What do I get instead? I get a sack of shit I gotta carry on my shoulders and two teams who don’t chalk up anywhere close to who they think they are. None of you are going to be the ones who get that must-see moment out of me; you’re the ones who are going to lay your asses down on the mat and put those shoulders down for three. Now THAT’S Kai Rabeaux money, and you know what? Now let’s talk Greatest of All Time money. Let’s talk first-round money instead of Social Stream money. Let’s stop talking about people who THINK they’re great and let’s start talking about people who ARE great. You wish you were good enough to be anywhere higher than where you are right now, but you’re not, and now you’re just gonna get your ass whipped, buddy. You and your little partner there, TLA, yeah, you fucked up now. By the time I’m done with you, I hope you realize the status quo around here. I hope you don’t EVER try to size up with me, because you know that’s something you can’t do.
Adam Lucas ain’t never mean shit to me, and truth be told, I’m glad that he’s gone. But I find it pretty poetic that you were the one who ended his career, because twos deserve to be surrounded by twos, but no matter what they do, they’re never fucking with the one.
Now, as for you, Jay, I don’t know who the hell you think you are, but you know better than to get involved in MY business. I don’t care what you got going on with Damon, but you handle that on your time; you don’t do that on mine. It doesn’t matter if you had the intention of going after me or not; it doesn’t change the fact that you got in my way. Your ass is gonna pay for that at Bloodsport just like he is, and there ain’t a damn thing that you can do about it either. You like a little child to me, and you gon be a good little boy for greatness. You’re gonna grab onto that tag rope and do as I say, and we’re gonna win this match, you got me? This season we’re not taking shit from anyone. I’m tired of being disrespected, and I’m tired of being told that I’m someone I’m not. I KNOW who I am, and I have known that from the very moment that I stepped through the doors of this place. Consider what happens this weekend, a warning, not just for Bloodsport, but the entirety of the next season. You can either realize it now, or I can beat it into you just like I’m boutta do to these four. THAT’S greatness. Stamped and certified.
