"The Unkillable" Kirk Redwood
Base: “Filthy” Tom Lawlor
Nicknames: “Unkillable”, “The Dog of War”, “The Renewed”
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 210 Pounds
Hometown: Boston, Massachusetts
Inspiration: Tom Lawlor, Biff Busick, Tim Thatcher and Kyle O’Reilly
Disposition: Tweener
Gimmick: Redwood, as a former street fighter, has had his run-ins with the law. He's proud of his background, but is looking to go legit in EAW. He came in with a shitty attitude, but a few losses showed him that EAW is the best way to fix his life and prove himself as a fighter and as a man.
UPDATE 10/24: Redwood lost his wife and child, the entire reason he tried to be a good man. As a result, he was forced to admit to himself that he went to jail because he is a violent man who can't control himself. Being unable to cope with going through prison just to lose his family, all he can think of now is making his opponents bleed and beating the shit out of them. He is an alcoholic, slowly losing control again, but this time there is no glue to hold him together.
Update 3/1 - Redwood is still an alcoholic, but his goal is much clearer now: he wants to be the baddest motherfucker on the roster. He wants to prove he can endure the most pain and dish it back out. Win or lose, he wants to walk away from every match with lasting scars on him and his opponent.
Update 4/17/23: Redwood is a deeply tortured man. Stuck between a desire to be a good father and his nature as a violent criminal, Kirk struggles to hold onto the light. He finds it hard to be good and sometimes instinctively does evil, but he never relishes in it. When he does break the rules, he is frustrated with himself. Overall, though, he’d rather go out with a whisper as a good man and father than with the roar of his old dirty tactics.
Theme: The Dark Horse Always Wins by Blues Saraceno
Entrance: A white smoke covers the stage as the music begins to play. Redwood walks through the smoke with his fist raised in the air. Before he descends the ramp, points his fist at the camera to reveal his opponents name across his knuckles before putting on his game face and sprinting to the ring.
Special Entrance: The song "Kickstart my Heart" by Motley Crue starts playing as smoke fills the arena. Fireworks burst from the stage as Redwood sprints through the smoke and into the ring. Once in the ring he shows his opponents name on his knuckles to the camera and the crowd. He then pulls out a picture of his daughter and stares at it for a few moments before putting it away and looking ready for a fight.
Motivation: At first, Redwood wanted to find the person to take him out for good, a suicidal attitude that crushed him. But now he has a desire to extend his career in EAW. Before coming to EAW, Redwood had been imprisoned for illegal street fighting, costing him his reputation and his family. Now he needs to climb the ropes in EAW for his own sake.
UPDATE 10/24: Redwood has lost his family, leaving him to confront the fact that he enjoys hurting people and winning matches. All he wants now is his future of "red and gold" which is blood and championships.
Update 4/1: Redwood wants to fight the best and be the toughest guy on the roster. He wants to step in that ring and have his opponent shitting their pants. Titles are a means to face and beat the best on the roster. However, sometimes it’s enough for Redwood to leave scars on his opponent so they’ll always know what he can do even in loss.
Update: 4/17/23: Kirk Redwood has begun to realize that being a scumbag was the easy way out. After seeing how it has affected his daughter, Lyra, Kirk has decided to try and be a good man and learn the craft of professional wrestling. He wants to be the best wrestler he can become to prove to his daughter that he is bigger than his darker half. Every opponent he beats clean, he shows that redemption is a possibility for every man.
Tendency to cheat: Occasionally cheats, but always feels tortured about it. Sometimes he will catch himself before he does it and stop himself.
Favorite Match: Pit Fight
Least Favorite Match: any match where he doesn’t have to be the one pinned to lose
Favorite Weapon: Brass knuckles

Notes: Redwood tends to stay hyper focused on the opponent, reveling in the fight itself.
-While this may give him an advantage when dealing with opponent within conventional means, it also means he’s open to surprise attacks and improvised tactics.
-He does not believe in wasting time with an opponent either, so he will move fast and sometimes recklessly.
-Although he used to be more aggressive, Redwood tries to win clean and decisively so that nobody can say it was a fluke.
-He tries to stay disciplined, but when he's frustrated, he may snap and try to hurt his opponent before collecting his wits.
