“You know that feeling when something's just been sitting at the back of your mind for so long that every second you spend ignoring it, it just starts eating away at you until you pretty much feel sick? You hate coming to work, you hate looking at the people around you, you barely even feel like yourself because you're spending every single week doing something you don't do and forcing yourself to play a role just so you don't get yourself into trouble you really don't need? Like, you're starting to feel like the human embodiment of TV static because the one thing you're not supposed to say is the same thing that keeps invading your mind at every given opportunity?
Seriously, doesn't it feel good when you finally have the chance to get it off your chest?
I meant every single word I said on Dynasty and if anyone, whether it be Kennedy Street, Silas Mason or anyone either dumb or desperate enough to actually stick around that group knowing the total trainwreck it's become has a problem with that they're just gonna have to cry about it, because it doesn't matter what they think anymore. I got everything I needed and now I'm free. Free from Kennedy trying to screw everything up for me almost every single week for the past year. Free from Silas and whatever CTE he developed driving Silas World into the ground. I'm not fighting under someone else's name anymore and far as I'm concerned I don't plan to ever do it again, because I proved everything I needed to prove at Pain for Pride and I did it on my own. I have the Cash in the Vault briefcase and I won that on my own! I didn't need Vincent trying to help me! I didn't need Silas World running down to give me any easy win! All I ever needed was to get in the ring, because I really am just that good. It was that simple and under better circumstances I could've been right there helping push Silas World to the top of the mountain like we were a year ago back when I had to watch Donny and Brianna carry around gold while I was empty handed, but no. Instead of just trusting me or I don't know, actually doing something about my missing boyfriend, we'd rather waste our time cozying up with gag characters and career losers who shouldn't even be in this company right now! I mean, I tried! I did everything I possibly could to take matters into my own hands and deal with this, but I hit a wall and I am done trapping myself in a prison filled with people who couldn't care less about the things that I do, the people I love, or anything that actually makes me who I am! I trusted Silas, and don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the help he actually did give me. For a time, he pretty much pulled my career out of a ditch. I know what he can do for people, but that's exactly what has made the last few months so frustrating. Silas World is meant to be the most dominant force on Showdown and instead it's just become an easy platform for whatever good-for-nothing mouth breathers feel like wasting everyone's time on a weekly basis, all while I had to just go along with it because that's what Silas wanted. He didn't want talent, he wanted followers. He wanted some sort of mannequin to stand around in the back while they go and make fools of themselves, and that's not who I am. I'm the best in the world, and I'm glad I'm back on Dynasty this season because this is the same show where I did the same thing I'm doing now five years ago.
I realized my own self-worth.
I hope whatever's going on with Donovan gets better soon and that he can finally just get rid of whatever the hell is stopping him from coming back to me… But when he returns, and he will return, I hope he gets far far away from that stupid, delusional, parasitic, bald manbaby. Unless Silas locks the hell in and remembers that the wrestlers are supposed to be the ones keeping Silas World afloat and not him, that group is the definition of a sinking ship, and I'm not gonna be part of it.
Buuuut that's enough about my time on Showdown
!
What happened with KASAI last week was pretty annoying, but whatever. KASAI has this week to remember who I am and rethink whatever threats she throws at me, because I think it's about time we finally get back to basics.
Hi Chris
!
It's been a while, hasn't it? I genuinely don't even know the last time you and I crossed paths, but look at us now! I mean, I'm Ms. Cash in the Vault and on my way to a second World title, you're still losing at Pain for Pride and fumbling pretty much every opportunity you get, but what's new? You do what you do best and I do what I do best, that's how it's always been. I mean you had a nice lil stint with the Interwire Championship, don't get me wrong. It's cool that you're still able to every now and then get the job done and get some gold around your waist, but by this point you should already know that I tend to keep an eye on what's going on around me and these “Why haven't you retired yet?” Olympics you've got going on with Daryl is kinda embarrassing knowing that you're both pretty much settling for whatever you can get at this point and things you accomplished ages ago because when you actually try to reach for more- like at Pain for Pride, it ends with you getting left flat on your back by pretty much anyone that's on the rise. I don't think I'm saying anything new here ‘cause I know you've literally been dealing people go at you for your setbacks since you lost the World Heavyweight Championship nearly a whole decade ago, so mind if I ask a little question instead?
What gives you any right to be hostile to like… Literally anybody?
Don't get me wrong, I hate Daryl Kinkade’s guts and I'd be more than happy to see you humiliate him, but at the same time it's like… You'd probably be better off asking him to work with you or something. Like, I don't know what a Daryl Kinkade and Chris Elite team looks like, but you managed to make a team with pre-lock in Jake Smith work, didn't you? Might as well try to recreate that success with a new teammate, because there's a limit to how far you can really go as a singles competitor this season unless management decides to keep you hidden far away from the serious threats on this brand, and judging by the match you're in this week, it doesn't look like you're gonna be that lucky. You're not the worst wrestler out there so you don't need to take this too personally. Hell, there's at least one wrestler worse than you in the group I was just in before the Draft, so that's something! I mean at the end of the day your problem isn't even your limitations, it's the fact that you keep running your mouth like they're not even there. You know what stage your career is in and you admitted as much tons of times before you started getting desperate, so don't you think it's time that you take a step back and weigh your options before you throw yourself to the wolves? Seems like an obvious choice to me, but I guess I get where you're coming from. I mean, when I was stuck for the last few months I probably could've said something. I probably could've done what Pandora did. I could've picked any moment to finally decide I don't want to be part of a car crash anymore and I didn't do it until after I was forcefully separated from them. That was a mistake and honestly it wasn't even like me, bottling everything up just to spare other people's feelings. That's not who I am and I guess it took being forced out of my situation for me to remember who Harper Lee is supposed to be, so what's it gonna take for you? What's gonna be the moment that makes the lightbulb go off and gets you to change the tired approach that more often than not does more harm for you than good? Is it ever gonna come, or are you gonna just stick around until you slowly fall deeper and deeper into the hole you're in until you're having a mediocre, underwhelming retirement match like Brian Daniels did? I mean it's up to you but like, this brick wall approach isn't gonna be what gets you anywhere. Not to the Championships. Not to another career revival like last year. Not even to any meaningful wins, especially not when I'm one of your opponents.
No, but seriously. You might as well save all this energy for Daryl whenever you two go back to going centimeter for centimeter, ‘cause the bare minimum is very clearly not gonna slide in a match like this.
You get that, right Daryl? I mean I can't read KASAI’s mind and I'm pretty much used to the people I partner up with deciding to just go braindead whenever the time comes for me to work with them so who knows? Maybe she can make the dumbest mistake of her career and double down on rejecting my offer last week by screwing me over, but if she's smart she won't do that, because if there is ANYONE that doesn't deserve to leave Dynasty with a win on Friday night, it's you. You're the one who kickstarted this whole mess for me, and the annoying part? It didn't even happen because you were better than me. You weren't. Not at all, which is why you didn't even pin me and instead opted for the weak link in a match that was pretty much made to tear us apart. You were lucky, Daryl. Beyond lucky that the circumstances favored you. Soooo lucky that time and time again I'm put in positions where I have to rely on people knowing full well that I'd be WAY better off if I didn't have to deal with any of that. You escaped Road to Redemption with that title but you were never gonna make it past the season with it, because deep down you're exactly what I've known you to be all this time. You're just another little guy. Another guy on the roster that spends every single week fighting from underneath despite the fact that you started your run here before most of the people even in this company because you still haven't found it in you to take the next step. Chris Elite was right about you and that's one of the only good things I can even say about him right now, because as overconfident as he is there is one thing he tends to be good at, and it's calling out losers. He knows how to tell guys like you exactly what you need to hear, only you're not gonna listen because you're just as stubborn as you are stupid. You just have a bunch of rocks tumbling around where your brain’s supposed to be, so forget any self-reflection or even admission that you really were lucky to even walk into Pain for Pride as a Champion, you're about to walk into this match annoyed because your ego was bruised and you're being forced to work with the guy responsible. Unfortunately for you, your opponent was the person you robbed at Road to Redemption (and KASAI), so now whatever mark was left on your ego’s about to look a whole lot worse.
I've been waiting for this Daryl and no, this isn't for Silas World. I don't care to try and do what they couldn't. I have no intentions on trying to clean up Ryan Wilson's mess after the damage has already been done. I just want to beat you, because I shouldn't have a loss to you on my record and I do ironically because of the same group I proceeded to stick around for another six months. This is alllll for me, and that's how it should be. This is what's been missing for so long, and I know KASAI is a… How do I put it… “Complicated” woman, but I don't intend to let her ruin this for me. I gave her a great opportunity and if she's not gonna take it then fine, but I'm not repeating what I went through last season. Never again. I hope you enjoyed that nice time you had with the National Elite Championship ‘cause I'm willing to bet that that's as good as it gets for you. The fairytale is over. Your nice little redemption arc finally came to an end, and now we're back to regularly scheduled programming. Back to the Daryl Kinkade everyone's used to seeing. The guy who can never string anything together before it all just falls apart. The guy whose momentum always topples over before you get anywhere substantial, not because anyone's out to get you, or in my case because you're surrounded by people who literally couldn't care less about what you want, but because you're just not good enough to make use of whatever good comes your way. You lack sustainability and that's not something that's ever gonna miraculously come find you. It's just who you are, and why you're never gonna do what I just did.
Ms. Cash in the Vault.
Future two-time World Champion.
Six consecutive wins at Pain for Pride.
You can't touch my legacy Daryl, so hold onto that National Elite Championship win as hard as you possibly can because I promise, that is the only fond memory you will ever have when it comes to the two of us sharing the ring. Things are going right back to the way it should be on Friday, and that's with you losing to me. I don't care if you and Chris manage to stay on the same page this weekend. I mean, I don't think you will because you and Chris both have the same problem of being unable to take disrespect despite barely doing anything to make said disrespect unwarranted, but who knows? Maybe you two put both your differences and similarities aside for now. Maybe you just focus on winning this match for a change, and try your best to formulate some sort of plan to beat me and KASAI. I almost hope that that happens, because I'd love to see the look on your face when even at your best it turns out you don't actually have what it takes to beat me. I'd love to see how badly it annoys you having to even consider the possibility that your only title win in ages was just a fluke. I want to see you hurt, just like I was hurt.
But, I'm not picky.
I'm feeling rejuvenated. About as good as I can feel given the circumstances, and I'm starting my Dynasty run off right. Anything else is a bonus.”
