- CM Punk 2011-2012 & McIntyre feud (zero filter, primarily to those he dislikes; not afraid of going to extreme lengths)

- 2000’s Hiroshi Tanahashi (attempting to overcome the heat he has, willing to put his life on the line to prove himself as "The Ace" in order to restore lost respect)
- Wrestle Dynasty 2025 Kenny Omega (presentation)

« CHARACTERISTICS »
- Limmy often carries himself with a cool, calm and collected presentation; he isn't too theatrical outside of his entrances and matches, and is often slow and meticulous in his expressions and his approach ala Roman Reigns. A lot of people (Kass, Myles) believe it to be a fictitious personality trait, hiding his true intentions. Limmy denies this, but that shall be left up to interpretation.
- Limmy doesn't struggle with his anger issues. Years ago, around the time of Insurgency, this was different but he's since been able to keep them under wraps. He never allows this to get to him, considering his wrestling philosophy, and tries to be the better man. However on VERY rare occasions, his frustrations may bottle up with a person, and at best he lashes out with extreme disrespect (kicking someone's hand instead of shaking it, insulting their pride) or at worst, he may start to kick them in the side of the head instead of following up with bigger moves, ala GUNTHER.
- Limmy often hands Elitists respect after beating him in singles competition, especially considering how rare it is, with only Bronson, Myles and Cy doing so (as of 06/25/24) - but he will also hand Elitists their respect if he believes they have earned it, by wearing their hearts on their sleeves, and truly fighting for what they believe in, even if he disagrees with it. This respect can be fractured and tainted, however.
- Limmy has a love-hate relationship with the "Dynasty Big Three" term. He isn't somebody that enjoys being boxed in, and does believe that it was his run during Season 16 that allowed for that very concept to exist. But on the other hand, he has immense respect for both Bronson and Myles, and being grouped alongside them IS a net positive. He only ever disrespects either one of them due to the fact that they each challenge one another to be better, and knows that trying to be better than them will force them to push back, forcing HIM to push back. He has a very "only I can fight with my brother" type of mentality towards it, content with them disrespecting his work and vice versa, but not with others disrespecting any of their work. He believes all three of them are at the top of the EAW hierarchy, and believes they all deserve their respect and flowers, from everybody, no exceptions.
- Limmy will often pick up personality traits from people he teams with; with varying levels of extremity. Picking up a "nobody can make a name for themselves at my expense" mentality from Kassidy Heart, an affinity for the Dynasty brand due to his friendship with Bronson Daniels and the suffering he went to in order to protect it, and a love for war due to his many long and strenuous battles with Myles.
character history;
« BIO » Pain For Pride didn’t end the way Limmy Monaghan had previously expected. His expectations were to defeat Cy Henderson and start his next season, fully settled into the role of “The Ace” yet it didn’t end this way for him. He failed against Cy. However, that is the very story of The Ace itself. Through all the odds thrown against him, Limmy begins Season 18 taking on the mantle. At his lowest, he chose to take the pressure on his shoulders, and reach his new peak. To live up to the title of Ace, Limmy first must live up to himself.
Season 18, Limmy Monaghan intends to remind the world who he truly was before his hiatus, and stand tall as EAW’s brand new Ace.
2025;
Facing the tall task of living up to the moniker of "The Ace" Limmy Monaghan has once again experienced what true pressure feels like; having already reached his goal in 2022, he competed with an air of freedom - as if he knocked down every hurdle in his way - however he took it for granted. Even upon his return, he was fighting for something everybody knew was possible, one more World Championship. This season is different. Living up to "The Ace" is no easy task, something perhaps impossible, and Limmy once again competes with weight on his shoulders. He has lost, having done so a fair few times, just as he has stumbled in his desire to punish Xander Payne; what hasn't dawned on him, however, is the journey he set himself on.
Limmy, now more than ever, aims to solidify his status as The Ace. To not only be The Ace in name, in title, but also in status. He craves that recognition. He knows that it comes with the EAW World Championship. Willing to put his body through the wringer more than ever before in order to earn that reputation, and that Championship.
Voltage's Championship; The Ace's brand.
