Brianna Hill has reached a crossroads. After months of disappointing losses, bitterness, and self-sabotage, she has grown tired of being the "villain" in her own story. No longer content with just tearing others down to mask her insecurities, Brianna begins an introspective journey to rediscover her worth and redefine her purpose. Dubbed ‘The Butterfly Queen’, Brianna now represents transformation, emerging seemingly anew from everything that she’s gone through. However, despite all of that, change isn’t linear. She still wrestles with old habits, aligns with the same allies, and bears the same lingering frustration that she usually does. But despite that, she has a newfound desire to rise on her terms, and whether that’s with allies or not, she plans to do it her way.
BACKGROUND:
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Sydney Cortez was a natural athlete at heart. Whether that be playing for hours at a time with her older and younger siblings, or being active in multiple sports while in school such as tennis, and volleyball, at a young age, her heart called to track and field as she participated heavily in the sport while in High School. While her dream was to go D1 heading into college, having gotten multiple offers to do so, she found herself stuck between a rock and a hard place when Elite Answers Wrestling offered her a chance to join their Performance Center in Newark, New Jersey.
On one hand, it was an amazing opportunity, having watched professional wrestling at a young age and being inspired by these larger-than-life figures that graced her screen. But sticking to what she was good at and continuing on the path of success that she was practically guaranteed as her senior year of college approached was just as enticing of an offer. Ultimately she took the risk and signed a developmental contract with EAW, training with the company until she was of age to compete on one of the three brands. While that date steadily approached, just before she hit the age of 18, she was derailed by a torn ACL that left her out of action indefinitely.
While doctors told her it wouldn’t have any long-term ramifications, it left her on edge to think if something like this could happen so early, then why risk the gamble of going any further with such a dangerous sport? Her answer to her question was that she had already worked this hard, and gotten this far, and she was not ready to give up on everything that she had just yet. A little more than a year later, after an excruciating period of rehab, she was back, and now as Brianna Hill, she was ready to conquer the world of Elite Answers Wrestling one step at a time.
Leading to the events of Road To Redemption 2023, Brianna was down on his luck. Loss after loss began to pile up and she began to look to other people for advice, looking toward people like Valerie Hellstorm. She was told that she needed to do everything to win, and after losing the Extreme Enigma Battle Royal, she needed to flip the switch. She attacked TLA, helped Roberto De La Rosa cash in the 24/7 Contract, and allowed him to win the Hardcore Championship. Joining as the newest member of La Familia.
After a near calendar year of her allegiance to the group, Brianna’s entire persona changed. She was a brash, arrogant Elitist who dismissed everyone around her, and she built it around dominance and condescension. Yet, despite her confidence and bravado, she always felt like something was missing. Over time, failure chipped away at her, breaking that bubble of invincibility that kept her safe for the longest time. This left her lost, frustrated, and questioning her place in this company. Upon facing her La Familia teammates at The Last Stand 2024, she realized that she wasn’t going to be able to rely on them for everything. In a way, she was on her own, she was going to have to fight for herself. It’s in this isolation that a moment of clarity struck. She realized that she was standing in her way, and the only person who could help her rise was herself. From that moment, Brianna made a vow to transform, to evolve, and to do things her way.
It may not be very clear cut, and she may very well be looked at as a bad person despite all of that, but one way or another she’s going to get herself out there. She’s going to make herself known and she’s going to make sure that everybody knows exactly how good she is.

MOTIVATIONS:
Ultimately, Brianna competes for the love of the game. She knows that she’s done a lot, but it’s not enough for her, and even though for a time she was complacent about it, she realized at the same time that if she wants to be remembered she’s going to have to want to do more to elevate herself beyond. She’s not only looking to prove to everyone that she’s got it, but to herself as well, and to make sure to show that she can compete at a high level in the ring.
