Right before war breaks out, there’s always tension in the air. It’s this feeling that at fucking moment, all hell is going to break loose. That’s what it feels like walking into this triple threat match on Showdown.
The three of us…BRAE, Cy, and me, were representing our brand as a unit at Territorial Invasion. And as much as I don’t like Cy, I know that he’s going to be about business the second he rolls up in that arena. This week though, I’m expected to walk into hostile territory and make a little preview of what folks can expect to see in that War Games match. Though, I don’t think they’re going to like what they see. The moment that bell rings, territorial invasion might as well be starting because I’m not stopping until my team is the last one fucking standing. I don’t give a shit if it is Saori Aizen and Pandora Paisley, they’re just meat for grinder. That tension is going to shatter when I drop both of these assholes on their heads, stack ‘em up, and put my foot across their chests.
What happened with Cy was a stumble, not a fall off. This is the season where Kirk Redwood takes gold home to his family no matter what he has to do to get it. Winning War Games might get a thrill out of management, but beating the shit out of the two of you is going to show everybody that I’m still on the hunt. Saori, you spent the last special of your brand flying out to who gives a damn to make out with some douchebag. You might be Specialist’s champion right now, but that’s an easy thing to lose. Especially considering you haven’t put that shit on the line when it counts. And even then, someone else did the job for you. All you did was hook the leg. When I beat someone, I don’t leave any room for doubt that Redwood was the better man. I hit and they don’t move until a doctor shoves the salts under their nose.
There’s not a single doubt in my mind that I could beat you Saori. I don’t respect many people in this business, but you’d be up there with the people I really don’t give a shit about. After BRAE beats Auburn into a coma, you’re going to have to deal with the real killer on this team. Because they’re all looking to stroke their egos, I’m looking to take heads. Until I earn another title opportunity, this ol’ dog of war is going to bit everybody worth a damn right down to the bone. And as much as I don’t like you, you do have that gold around your waist. That makes tearing your head off and putting it on my mantle a great way for me to pad my numbers. You’d have to bring hell down on me to beat me Saori and even you and the whole damn roster doesn’t have that in you.
And then there’s Pandora Paisley. You’re leading your team right into the middle of the shit. Try doing that after they watch me smash your teeth into the front row. You dropped all your buddies in Silas World which means the only backup you got now is Kelton and Kutcher. As good as you may be Pandora, you got other problems on your mind don’t ya? Whereas there is nothing for me to do but win this fucking match. And I’ve spent the last couple months taking down some legendary names, this is a good chance to add you to the list. Because unlike Saori, you’re a survivor. You’re not some delicate little kid crying when you get a scrape on the knee. That makes you the kind of person I need to test myself against. The only way I’m going to become the most dangerous version of myself is by putting myself in the hottest fire I can find. It’s not enough to think that I can win, nah, I know I’m going to win. I feel it in every bone, every scar, it’s like that tension I was talking about. You know what’s going to happen, but it hasn’t gone off yet.
I have spent most of my career being told that I’m at a dead end. Always some fucking douchebag who’s biggest struggle in life was not getting the car they wanted from daddy telling me that I was never going to be a champion in EAW. But that is changing, day by day, minute by minute, I’m proving that I have come a long way from the man I used to be. Normally, playing well with others would be the last thing anybody would say about Kirk Redwood. For the right opportunity though, I’d tag team with Satan if I had to. I’m not stupid enough to believe that the winner here is guaranteed to win at Territorial Invasion. We got a hundred fucking preview matches going on this week, but I intend to turn this into an advantage. The war starts this weekend when I drop bombs on Pandora and Saori, and they’ll just be the first casualties. Give them a medal, cart them off the field, but don’t pretend that this wasn’t possible. Some might see me as the odd one out on this team, but I’m the only one who’s capable of turning this match into the horror show it should be.
Some people say war is hell, but it ain’t. Pandora, Saori, you’ve had some tough fights in your careers. You’ve got something in your name. And just as you want to tear me down and go into Territorial Invasion pissing thunder, the buck stops here. Your teams are going to watch as Kirk Redwood drags a chunk of their team down to hell. Your teams are going to be in the back pissing themselves wondering what just happened. Try as you might, what makes me Unkillable is sheer force of fucking will. For my family, I’d take a bullet in the chest and spit it back out. For them, I’d put anybody who gets in my way deep in the cold cold ground. But this weekend, I’ll have to settle for seeing the two of you wheeled out by a medic.
The man who waited around for someone to notice him died at Pain for Pride. We’re in the endgame of my goals now, the final push before I make something of myself. The plan remains to put a championship in the hands of my family. I was too weak, too lost, too cowardly to do it before. Though once I got some legendary blood on my hands, once I proved I can beat the best wrestlers in this business, everything changed. It’s not about firing one bullet and hoping it hits. I’m hiring all my fucking ammunition every night until there is nobody left to stand in between me and championship gold. A preview…nah, this is the first shot across the trenches. War is on the horizon, death is on his merry fucking way…
…and Kirk Redwood is coming to collect his due.
