Following Pain For Pride, Jon Kelton seemingly did the unthinkable by winning the National Elite Championship. Over the course of the past few years, he’s been working hard to get the respect and recognition he deserves, and finally, after waiting for as long as he did, he decided to out and take it. He accomplished the one goal that had long alluded him over the course of his career, and now that he has another championship on the mantle, he wants to go out and back up his claims of being one of the best elitists in EAW. With Devolution at his side, Jon Kelton is looking to carry not only himself but those who put their trust and support in him, to the forefront of the company. So while it was a long journey getting here, Jon Kelton also realizes that this is not the finish line. He realizes that this is not a sprint, it’s a marathon, and the race is not over until his name is said in the same breath as some of the other greats that have come and left their mark on this business. And that seems to be the ultimate goal for the man formally known as 'The Chosen One', he wants to be great by any and all means, and 'SZN 17' is the perfect time for him to do just that.

Described as ‘Chaotic Neutral’, Jon Kelton was thought of as an elitist who walked to the beat of his own drum. But that all changed once he aligned himself with Kennedy Street and her hit-squad ‘The Devolution’. Jon Kelton went from being an outcast and a pariah to a success story in the blink of an eye following his National Elite Championship victory at Pain For Pride. And while most would be satisfied and content with that, he isn’t. Jon Kelton has moved on from trying to undo the sins of his past and has altogether decided to give into the anger and greed thats accumulated within him since his return to EAW. He’s done apologizing. He’s done doing things the “right “ way. He’s done being second place. And he’s done waiting for it to be his turn. With Kennedy Street and the rest of The Devolution behind him, Jon Kelton is taking no prisoners. He doesn’t care who he hurts or who he has to run through. He has one thing and one thing only on his mind: Winning a World Championship and bringing it to The Devolution. And Jon Kelton is willing to do any and everything to see that, that plan comes to fruition, even if it means succumbing to a side of himself that the world isn’t yet familiar with. ‘ The Devil ‘ of The Devolution isn’t just a nickname or a play on words. It’s a warning, and even beyond that it’s the embodiment of the bottled-up emotion as a result of every single failure and shortcoming Jon Kelton has suffered and relived throughout his entire career, finally being let loose. In this mindset, Jon Kelton is completely devoid of sympathy and empathy, his emotions completely void. Every move and action he makes is tailored only to bringing him closer to his ultimate goal: A World Championship. In pursuit of this goal, Jon Kelton is inexorable.
