@Veena Adams Congratulations! I've already had the chance to say some of the things I wanted to in Caroline's thread, but Veena's title win was a long time coming and it was amazing being able to see that happen. We know just how dedicated you are to EAW and it's amazing that you're able to handle all of these responsibilities while handling such great characters, and this week definitely showed just how great those characters are. Veena's is hilarious and someone whose promos are always entertaining, and you've also managed to make her such a great heel. Her growth in the past few years was great to watch, and these past few months especially you've definitely shined in well deserved fashion. Veena's first title reign is definitely going to be a great one, and knowing that Veena has bragging rights and can be as unbearable as possible it's 100% something I look forward to.

@Donovan Duke It's been said so many times now, but title reigns like yours really don't happen often at all, so it's really telling that your first Championship reign was a historic one. Kass said it earlier in the chat but you really have helped out so many times when you didn't have to, and even beyond that kindness you're just an amazing writer that deserved everything you got and so much more. This very show showcased just how good your matchwriting is, and you've spent such a long time handling a character that's so likeable in a way that's really not easy. There's still a lot more for Donovan Duke to do and I'm sure you're going to handle it all perfectly. Congratulations for a literal record breaking Championship reign!

@Veena Adams is the kind of insufferable character that when on top can take that to a whole new level and you know what? I'm all for it and I can't wait for her to do her thing and offer us a lengthy title reign the likes the person who writes for her can do! Veena's time under the Championship spotlight was long overdue and I look forward to where things will go for her from there. This title has been earned and amply deserved. Enjoy it!

@Donovan Duke there is absolutely no shame in tonight's loss knowing the legendary run you've had with the Championship. Like Drake said this is a run unlike very few in this company and it takes a special talent in order to make that a reality. I'm proud of what you've done, the body of work you put in every single week is incredible and I'm proud to consider you a friend and I really love the input you give to my promos as well. What is next for the Gentlemen Duke? Time will tell but I'm sure it will be incredible!!

It's not every day that you see someone win two Championships on the same night, but you pulled up into the week, both with Veena and Caroline, you showed out, and you proved just how much you deserved this. It honestly surprises me that this is Veena's first Championship win here in EAW, but I'm sure it's not the last, because you only keep getting better and better. Like I said in the Caroline thread; the versatility is insanely on point, and I can't wait to see what comes next for you.

@Donovan Duke You're amazing man, never let anyone tell you otherwise. When you won the National Elite Championship just last year at this same exact event, I didn't know where it was going to go, and yet, here we are. A year later, and after having a historic run, a run that will forever be remembered, it's where you lose the title, to someone just as deserving. It has come full circle, from your well deserved reign to another well deserved reign, and I just know that this isn't the end for you. You're going to continue to get better, and we all know a World Championship is in your future. You have always been an amazing presence to this community, and I truly can't wait to see what comes next.

I said this during the show, but I am going to say it again. Thank you all so much for your kind words. It speaks the world to me. Am I sad that it's over? No. I'm so happy that I was able to get this experience to be National Elite Champion. It was such a blast and it without a doubt helped me grow and helped Donovan evolve as a character. I can't wait to see what happens next. Again, from the bottom of heart, thank you all so much. I am extremely grateful.

@Veena Adams What is there to say. You are one of my favorite people around here and I have so much respect for you. Handling three characters and running a brand shows how much dedication and heart (no pun intended) you have to what you do. You have been nothing but helpful and kind whenever we spoke. Veena has been working her butt off to finally get a Championship around her waist and it finally happened. After all was said and done, I am glad I was the one to give her the moment at King of Elite. Your promos are some of the best and it was such an honor to fight you for a title this week. I honestly believe you brought out some of my best work with Veena. The title is going to bring Veena's character to a whole new level and it is going to be a treat to see how you run with it. It isn't enough, but Congratulations on winning! I wish you an amazing reign and nothing but the best.

@Veena Adams One of the things that I wanted to do when I became a Head Writer was to give you the ball and run with it as Veena, a character I have enjoyed for years and always thought she was due. Again, you know how I feel about you and how much I love this character, that I started planting the seeds last year giving Veena some pretty big opportunities to see how she would respond, and you did. I am happy that she became a champion for the first time under my watch because it was long overdue. She is the right kind of bitch that will soak up this title reign and make it epic. Here's to a long reign!

@Donovan Duke Brother, what can I say. You broke the record for longest reigning, made Donovan Duke a household name, really elevated him to the upper echelon not only on Showdown but the EAW in general. You work hard, are one of the most pleasant people to work with in front of or behind the scenes on Showdown and are always willing to help. You are truly one of the good guys here and I appreciate you more than you know. I know Duke will be a World Champion sooner rather than later, keep the positive energy, you're the best.

@Jon Kelton man what a great run you had leading up to you conquering the title and an even greater run with the belt! I hope you are proud of the work and the story that you were able to tell through your promos because it was absolutely wonderful! @Veena Adams Kass the queen, of all the characters you have worked over time Veena has to be the most intriguing one that you managed to take the reins of. From Ryan Adams bratty, whiny niece to co-commish that gave everyone she came upon complete hell to a straight fighter. Her evolution has been amazing and now as a two time National Elite Champion I can't wait to see where she goes from here.

@Jon Kelton Great reign with NE Title. The depth of your character and the way you handle him makes me think of Jon every time I see Ricky Starks nowadays. There is more to come for Jon on the horizon and I'm sure when you get the chance to raise your game in the world title scene you will knock it straight out of the park.

The first go around, you ended a very historic reign and this time around isn't any different, beating someone who had a very impressive reign in his own right. But much like most of your title reigns with any of your characters, of course, this was well deserved. It was a bit poetic for Veena to dethrone the same man who took the title away from her at Pain For Pride months prior, so I'm glad to see it conclude like this.

@Jon Kelton As much as we joke around with each other, I know that the last couple of weeks hasn't been all that great for you but there is no doubt in my mind that this was one of my favourite title reigns in EAW that I have been able to read and witness in real time. I'm pretty sure winning the National Elite Title was a personal goal of yours and you got to achieve that and even greater on a stage of Pain For Pride. I'm proud to see how far you have come and I know that it is only up for the Kelton character from here.
