The video feed begins in the Armstrong Dynasty’s Scarsdale Mansion, where the Future has returned to following the stay in Japan. Another week has passed with Drake Armstrong picking up yet another victory under his belt; following House of Glass, Drake has been looking to accumulate some much-needed momentum and that is precisely what he’s been getting. With NOVA and Jordan Narzikis put in the rear-view mirror, things seem to be heating back up for the Future’s new direction; namely, the two encounters Drake had alongside those two wins. The first week entailed a tense confrontation with the newly crowned Interwire Champion, Theron Nikolas, while last week had Cy Henderson making the save to put an end to Drake’s vicious and bloodthirsty post-match beatdown against Jordan. As the Future begins embarking on this path to the top, he gets to face off against a former Interwire Champion: Joso. Drake is dressed in a finely tailored three-piece midnight blue suit with polished black dress shoes, a silver Rolex watch on his left wrist, and the Armstrong Dynasty Ring on his right hand. Without further ado, he begins to speak.

“Time and time again, I’ve said the same adage regarding the future of THE Future. For an Armstrong, there exists an infinite number of roads to destiny; that fated greatness was set in stone from the moment of my birth as an Armstrong, of course. The filth that I have the misfortune of needing to speak with seem to insist, following any and every setback, that I’m ‘cooked’, that I won’t reach my goals, that I was never destined for greatness to begin with. And every single time, I get to choose between amusement at their ignorance or annoyance at their insistence. When one path closes itself off to me, it results in the inevitable illumination of another path; it is such a simple phenomenon to understand, such a low bar to pass, and yet the unwashed masses constantly remind me not to overestimate their capacity for thought.

Regardless of what they think, the fact of the matter is that I’ve already identified a new prize, an even GREATER prize, to chase after. The destination of this arc has already been set, and now all that remains is the journey itself; the road to championship gold awaits its foundation, and that is something I intend to provide. I will pave the path to glory with the bodies of my opposition. NOVA and Jordan Narzikis were merely the beginning of this road, but rest assured, they will be getting company soon enough. I already have elitists lining up to get in my way, after all.

The victory over Narzikis was already set. That vulgarly dressed cretin thought he had the privilege to speak down to me in the lead-up to our showdown. The audacity that arises from imbecility never ceases to amaze! I could have left the win alone; the three-count ought to have been enough. I could have left that ring, walked back through those curtains, and went on with my day… but I didn’t. I was having fun bounding that putrid fool’s head off the mat. It was an exercise in power that I am all too familiar with. He was so brave leading up to the match, but when it was all said and done, that look in his eyes was reminiscent of the peasants under my employ. Those disgusting, uneducated ants whose sole purpose in life is to toil it away in service of my bottom line, to add more Benjamins that’ll collect dust in my family vault, to give me that which THEY need and I simply want, it’s that look in their eyes when I fire them and they come to realize that fate never had anything in store for them. That pleading and pathetic gaze as they look up at their master who has nothing more to give them. That’s the look I saw in Jordan’s eyes when I brought that steel chair over: a look of subordinance and resignment. I like seeing that look. It’s what an Armstrong is entitled to, after all: that power and control. And while I could have simply indulged in that power and control OUTSIDE of the wrestling industry, within the constraints of the prosperous empire that my forefathers have already built, it was my decision to expand that empire into this business.

However, as it turned out, there was a certain individual who seemed to have a problem with me demonstrating a glimpse of that power and control that I will inevitably attain within the wrestling industry. Cy Henderson, you surprised me! Not merely by your appearance after my match, but at your assumption regarding how I would react to you showing back up in my career of your own volition. You think I would be upset at that? A fair assumption, I suppose; however, I ultimately had all intentions to revisit our battle sooner or later. That you took the initiative to make it happen within a matter of weeks is quite pleasing to me. It was an act of sheer convenience; it reminds me of a time when, upon my craving for a particular dish, Charles immediately showed up with it upon a silver platter before I even managed to utter the command! Kudos to you for that, Cyclone, but that’s where the pleasantries end. This whole situation you created by stopping my actions on this past episode of Dynasty seem to stem from you wanting to ‘put me in my place’, so to speak… that I have yet to EARN my way into a position where I can end a man’s career. Beyond that, you even go as far as to say that any hope for my career is dwindling and that my fate has already been sealed? One count. On ONE count you are correct: my fate IS sealed, as I’ve always claimed, and it was sealed since day one. Regardless of, or rather, in SPITE of your foolish lack of faith, I will ascend and reach the destiny of greatness to which I am entitled. So, you protected Jordan Narzikis from me? That’s fine. If I want to end a career, I can just have my chauffeur drive me down to whatever Armstrong institution I please and I’ll do it with words. In EAW, I may have gotten that particular chance taken away, but in its place, I received an even greater prize: the Cyclone being put in my path once again. You made the choice to get in the way of my fate, and now it is I who will harvest the fruit of success from your decision.

The manner in which I deal with Cy Henderson is a matter that I am still mulling over; however, I must say, it is quite appropriate that my OFFICIAL opponent for this week is a former Interwire Champion, considering the run-in I had the week after Territorial Invasion. Joso, a ‘fellow’ man from New York… although, the New York that you are from really can’t be compared to the New York that I was raised in. A peasant born and raised in the stain known as Bronx wants to declare himself to be the New Era? Don’t make me laugh. A member of the riffraff has no place on top of the world! The pinnacle’s throne deserves an ELITE inhabitant, not some filth with delusions of grandeur far beyond that which his inconsequential bloodline would allow for. The Future has no interest in downplaying what you have accomplished thus far; through hard work, even a peasant can achieve SOMETHING. However, the fact of the matter is that your peak is akin to an anthill in comparison to my Everest. I have the mandate of the universe on my side; it is RIGHT for an Armstrong to reign supreme in whatever field he chooses. It is what OUGHT to be. It is what WILL be. If I must make an example out of you to send that message to the Cyclone and the CURRENT Interwire Champion, then that is precisely what I intend to do.

Just as it is right for an Armstrong to ascend to the summit of his or her own destiny, it is just as abhorrent for a man from a derelict upbringing to even CONSIDER being the greatest. When I ponder upon such a person, my mind drifts to the very same peasants I mentioned earlier; I make them work, I put them through the wringer, I make them toil until their backs BREAK! And that fate is coming your way in a matter of days, Joso; I have no intention of letting you leave the squared circle with the glory of victory. Even putting that aside, I’m going to make you WORK to collect that check of yours, so much so that you won’t be able to carry your own WEIGHT on your own two legs, let alone the weight of the new era itself. When that bell tolls and signals my victory, I want you to look between those ropes and gaze directly into the camera; give the EAW Universe, as well as Cy Henderson and Theron Nikolas in particular, an expression that shows them what awaits them when they go face to face with the Future. And when it’s all said and done, you’ll get company as a ‘former’ Interwire Champion when I, Drake Armstrong, become the CURRENT champion. The Cyclone gave mention to the immense amount of gold that I own; while that is splendid, and while the Brand Warfare victory crowns my rookie year with greatness, it’s about damn time I silence the impudent naysayers with a MATERIAL achievement. And this time when I shoot for it? I won’t miss.”

Having said those parting words, the Future snapped his fingers and prompted the video to fade to black.
