At Road to Redemption, I regained my Interwire Championship back, a title I should’ve never lost to begin with. To do that, I defeated Theron Nikolas, a former Answers World Champion, and future EAW Hall of Famer. Now, that should’ve earned your respect, but it hasn’t. Why is that? Because I took this championship, and cracked Theron in the skull with it? Suddenly, everybody wants to play moral police. Alright, let’s play moral police. At Grand Rampage 2020, Bronson Daniels sicked a kangaroo on me, which are known to be dangerous animals, and did he get any pushback for that? No. Matter of fact, he was cheered. Where was the moral police then? Nowhere to be found. To them, I got exactly what I deserved. Well, where was that same energy for Theron Nikolas, because he, too, got exactly what he deserved. Did people forget that Theron Nikolas almost blinded me with the red mist he sprayed into my eyes? Did people forget that Theron Nikolas cost me an important match against Jamie O’Hara? Did people forget that Theron Nikolas put his hands on Andre Walker, my best friend, and The Kaiser before me? No, but you’ll turn a blind eye to that, because you actually like Theron Nikolas. For some reason, you don’t like me. Again, why is that? If you ask me, it’s jealousy. But according to the EAW universe, it’s because I’m “arrogant.” Well, I’ve earned the right to be arrogant. That’s the case when you’ve made a career out of proving people wrong. No one thought that I’d be Interwire Champion the first time, but here I stand, Interwire Champion for a second time in my career, something that only three other people have been able to do, two of them being EAW Hall of Famers. But still, no respect has been thrown my way. Though, at King of Elite, that changes, because we’ll be in a place they do respect me, that being South Africa. Just a shame that it’s the wrong kind of respect. It’s not genuine. It’s a desperate attempt to live vicariously through me, because they have nothing going on for themselves. Meanwhile, I have everything going on for myself. The fact I’m rich, the fact I’m handsome, the fact I have a beautiful baby daughter on the way, and the fact I am about to prove people wrong for the 1,000th time in my career. Because when I won this championship, the immediate thought was “oh, he won’t hang onto it. It’ll be quick like his last reign.” Wrong. This won’t be anything like that. At King of Elite, I will defeat Shinzo Sasaki. Speaking of, this is Shinzo’s first ever championship opportunity. You know why that is? Because of me, because of the champion I am, which is the fighting kind. Shinzo came to me with an offer, a challenge of sorts, and I didn’t have to accept it, but I did anyway.

Since then, people have approached me asking what’s going through my head. No, really, what’s going through MY head. The question should be what’s going through Shinzo’s head, because at Road to Redemption, he failed against Charlie Marr, and to counteract that… he puts himself in a position to fail again. Does Shinzo really think that, at King of Elite, he’s going to “run right through me?” Look, I don’t doubt that he could run through most people on this roster, but I’m not most people. I am the Interwire Champion, and I didn’t get here by being stupid, I got here by being smart. At Road to Redemption, I outsmarted Theron Nikolas, so at King of Elite, what do you think I’m going to do next? Well, I’m going to outsmart Shinzo Sasaki. How? Fortunately, I’m not dumb enough to reveal my plan, but KAI-ZEN certainly are, because two weeks ago, that’s exactly what you did. At King of Elite, Mig De Decker is expected to do everything in his power to ensure that gold comes home to you, and that gold comes home to Prince Tohru. Hey, I can’t fault you for using the assets at your disposal. But when the asset is Mig De Decker, someone the size of my leg, and someone that I’ve beaten before with the utmost of ease, I’m not too worried about that. Besides, it’s not a guarantee that Mig’s presence will even be felt, because if Tohru’s match goes on before ours, which it should, then I expect Michael Machina to spear that fool out of his boots, and send him to the nearest hospital. Meaning: another elitist will have done me a favor when I didn’t ask them to. See, I appreciate what you, and the rest of KAI-ZEN did to Theron Nikolas, but let it be known, I didn’t ask for that, because I didn’t need you to do that. After all, I’ve already beaten Theron twice. Though, like I said, I do appreciate what you’ve done for me, because after King of Elite, after I beat you, after I send you to the back of the line, then that means, not only will one challenger have been disposed of, but two. My first defense, and already, I have two less people to worry about coming for my title. Seriously, I can’t thank you enough. Now, after King of Elite, I’m taking the private jet home, so I can treat myself to a top of the line cigar, and bourbon in celebration of my victory, then I’m going to lie in my comfortable king size bed, and go to sleep. You, on the other hand, you’re gonna go home, and you probably won’t get much sleep, because unlike me, you’re not fighting for yourself, you’re fighting for Japan. Apparently, a loss at King of Elite means “celibacy, and sexless marriages.” It means a “massive extinction threat to humankind.” Now, whether that’s true or not, I don’t care. Honestly, it’s none of my business. Plus, if I wanted to know about the political, and economic state of Japan, I’d tune into the news.

But Shinzo, I commend you, because you’re fighting for a noble cause. Me? I fight for myself, which has worked out well. Clearly, given that I am Interwire Champion, and all. But you’re not the first person I’ve come across that is fighting with a nation on your back. At Noche De Violence, Roberto De La Rosa did the same thing. He fought with thousands of people in Mexico City behind him, rooting for him to overcome both me, and Bea Valentine. But that didn’t happen, did it? No, because I beat them both, proving myself as the superior champion, better than the Hardcore Champion, better than the Specialists Champion. See, I am the reason that Roberto De La Rosa failed his country, I am the reason that BOTH competitors failed Voltage, and at King of Elite, I will be the reason you fail Japan, I will be the reason you fail KAI-ZEN. Now, does that make me a jerk, does that make me the villain? Probably, but do I care? No. The only thing I care about is the Interwire Championship, and keeping it around my waist. Understand, this is almost three years of hard work. Almost three years of having to scratch and claw for a title that I should’ve never lost to begin with, and you think that’ll all be for nothing? You think that I’ll let three years of hard work go down the drain for someone that hasn’t been here for more than a calendar year, all because he fights for his country? No. Shinzo, you have been here for a very short amount of time, and you’ve made an impact in said time. Congratulations, but you still have tons to learn. At King of Elite, you learn that you’re not on my level, but that’s okay, because no one is. A point that I will prove time and time again, no matter the challenger that is put in my path. When this belt is on the line, I become a different person. When this belt is on the line, I do not lose.
