Biography
Since he joined EAW in August of 2017, Ryan has made his way through the harshness of the land of the Elite and lived through many highs but even more lows. For most of his time in this company, the Montréal native has been, without realizing it, not working with the ring frame of mind, the right view and estimation of his worth and his potential, and thus for most of his career here while he came often close to achieve greatness he more often than not came up short. Unwilling and subconsciously sabotaging himself because he thought what he was doing was enough. Fooled by the small steps he took forward considering that overall he kept on failing. The man did indeed progress, but repeated failures ultimately led him to almost let everything go and leave the business that he loves because he felt he was at the end of his rope.
But a part of him didn't give up, a part that got him to keep going, and when he was going through the worst moment of his career a lifeline was extended to him in the form of Xander Payne offering his council because The Best In The World saw the potential of his once rival and decided to try and help him. The result? The emergence of Ryan Joseph Wilson as himself, how he should've always been. Humbled, grounded, and working harder than he ever has the former Jerk on the Mic showed the World what he could do to a point where the public's perception of him changed. They no longer were booing him out the door, they cheered him on, wanting him to succeed. Even backstage, more of his peers began acknowledging his resurgence even his most fervent detractors saw the good in Ryan and recognized it.
Unfortunately for Ryan, the continuation of his path to the top will happen without being a member of Showdown due to the machinations of its General Manager at a time when Ryan was fighting her handpicked group of Devolution along with Xander and Ms. Extreme. A loss ( In a fatal four-way where he nor Xander was pinned. Mei Sasaki was submitted. ) during the Unified Tag Team Championship was with consequences that for as long as Kennedy Street is GM of the Blue brand she will not draft Ryan as a way to punish him for standing up to her. Following the loss during Pain for Pride, it seemed as though all was lost for Dominion.
Except, it wasn't, for Dominion together were drafted on Friday Nights!
Now once more a member of Dynasty ahead of the Season 17 Draft, the renewed Ryan Joseph Wilson takes what he learned from Season 16 and will carry it into the new season. With a knife between his teeth, he goes into this new season with something to prove. Still no longer trying, and very much looking to take what he worked and sacrificed so much for. Looking to improve, build upon what he gained, correct and evade past mistakes, and continue to make his way to the top.
Since getting drafted on Dynasty, Ryan had the opportunity and privilege of facing some of the best elements not only on the Friday Night brand but of all of Elite Answers Wrestling. Names such as Myles, Theron Nikolas, Limmy Monaghan, Potara, and the new Answers World Champion Bronson Daniels in memorable matches. Despite being on the losing end against most of those listed, Ryan has managed to gain the favor of the crowd through his hard work, passion, dedication, and increased level of competitiveness which allowed him to position himself to be as close as ever to be a mainstay Main Eventer.
But not all was well in paradise as tensions began to emerge between him and Xander which culminated in the end of the team during Territorial Invasion during the Answers World Championship match between Xander Payne and Bronson Daniels. After the loss, Payne laid out Ryan with a vicious attack that left the Montréal native out cold with paramedics having to tend to him watched by a shocked crowd.
A feud followed between the Montréaler and the Toronto native, leading to a brutal war during House of Glass where Ryan achieved what many thought was impossible: He won against Xander Payne. Slamming Xander inside the Krypt with thousands of glass shards, Wilson by closing the lid thought he was done with his opponent. He thought that story was over, that he could move on to hopefully bigger and better things.
He was wrong.
Xander Payne was not done with Ryan, who began to lose his sanity and enter into a massive fit of delusions. The feud between the two of them intensified and Xander attacked Ryan often and even went to his house to vandalize it and terrorize both Ryan's mother and his niece Sophia. A match was booked between the two of them at Noche de la Violencia and before it, Xander began gaslighting the crowd and Ryan trying to make him sound like he was the one manipulating the truth and trying to make himself look like the victim. The match didn't go in Ryan's favor, unfortunately, and thus this chapter of his career ended on a sour note. 2024 did not end the way he had hoped, justice was not served for him and his family.
Or so we thought.
On the December 29th episode of Dynasty, two weeks after the events of Noche de la Violencia, Ryan attacked Xander during the Main Event which helped Michael Machina to get the win. In a video published on New Year's Eve, Ryan showed the world why he did it: Because his niece Sophia told him to. He is pushing this way forward for the sake of his family, who demands justice for what Xander Payne did, and also to force Xander to stop with his slandering of the Wilson name by trying futilely to make Ryan look like he is all that Xander currently is.
And this feud continues for a while longer. But like everything else, it will end. The final match between Ryan and Xander was scheduled to take place in South Africa during King of Elite and since Justice was on Ryan's mind, at the request of his niece who reminded him that losing doesn't equal the story being done, challenged his former mentor and best friend to the one match he knew he could dispense Justice: Chained Fury.
The third match of the kind, Ryan's creation, was as brutal and bloody as he expected and Ryan got what he wanted most in the end: A final victory over Xander, but more importantly: A clean one.
Ryan got injured during the match, Xander focusing on his knee but this win was a must for Ryan who no longer can be seen as an underachiever or someone who fails when it matters.
One chapter ended and a new one started when Ryan decided to challenge Ronan Malosi for the Interwire Championship with Drake Armstrong showing up as the second contender. While Drake Armstrong claimed the title at Operation Doomsday, Ryan wasn't pinned through a match where he delivered a solid performance and kicked out of every possible pinfall.
Is Ryan disappointed? Yes.
Will it stop him from achieving his goal? Not.
Just Watch.

Since joining EAW back in 2017, Ryan Wilson has been surrounded by an entourage of individuals who were part of his history as a wrestler leading up to today. Men like Sylvain Primeau son of Prime, who discovered Ryan during a cosplay contest he was a judge of during Montréal ComicCon in 2014, to the beast among men Tony The Brujah St-Michel with which Ryan fought as part of a successful tag team on the independent scene known as 'Le Duo de Choc' along with Ian Ternivsky known as The Intern and Lady Anabelle who had shown up more recently, earlier in 2021 and became Ryan's financial advisor. Following the failure of capturing the EAW Championship and the National Elite Championship in December 2021, Ryan thought it was time to make a drastic change and thus he fired three out of the four members of his Entourage leaving only Lady Anabelle, Tony's sister, as part of his entourage.
Magdalena Wilson
Picbase: N/A
Age: In her late 60's
Ryan as often as he can, keeps his family life private, however, his mother appeared on EAW programming during Season 14 when Ronan Malosi attacked her in an attempt to get under her son's skin. During their match at Pain For Pride for the New Breed Championship, she even got kidnapped and used in an attempt to get Ryan to abdicate but the matriarch of the Wilson family told her son to keep going and he did, ultimately winning the title, and defeated his hated enemy. She appeared on Dynasty as well, when Xander Payne last in December 2023 broke into the Wilson household and vandalized the place. She stood up to him, as best she could, however. Magdalena is a strong-minded woman, intelligent and family-oriented even if her body isn't able to allow her to fight.
Sophia Wilson
Picbase: N/A
Age: 8 years old
First appearing on EAW television when Xander Payne broke into the Wilson residence on the November 17th episode of Dynasty, the young girl was terrorized by Xander when the two crossed paths and watched him break things in her room in an attempt to get to Ryan. She is the motivation behind Ryan's attack on Xander Payne on the last Dynasty of 2023, for it was seen in a video post-Noche de la Violencia that she asked him not to let the bad man get away with what he did. And Ryan doesn't intend to disappoint his niece.
Lady Anabelle Desmarais-St-Michel
Picbase: Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village
Position: Financial Advisor
Born: Date unknown in Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada
Height: 6''9
Weight: Unknown
Very little information is known about this woman whose soft-spoken voice was heard briefly at the end of a promo on March 11th, 2021. On April 6th, 2021 she appeared again during a promo where she invited Doctor Bethany Blue for high tea. There we learned she is Tony St-Michel's sister and is afflicted with gigantism which explains her tall stature of almost 7'' of height. The truth is Lady Anabelle is a woman of power and influence, sitting on a fortune from being linked with one of Quebec's most powerful families. She is Ryan Wilson's financial advisor and it is said that Miss Knor's nomination as Promotional Director was at her recommendation.
Miss Demi Knor
Picbase: Ruby Rose from John Wick
Position: Promotional Director
Born: December 20th, 1993 in Québec City, Québec, Canada.
Height: 5' 8
Weight: 135 lbs
Following the near-complete dismantling of the Extended Universe, miss Knor was nominated to become Ryan Wilson's voice for the foreseeable future between shows and events. This is so that he can put his focus fully on physical and mental training without the distractions of his opponents and detractors who besides telling him that he sucks never have much else to say to him despite his obvious rise toward the top of the cards and this company as a whole. Miss Knor comes from a military background having served a few years with the Canadian Armed Forces she then branched out into the private sector where she became a spokeswoman under one of Lady Anabelle's owned companies.
